"Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes on the headwaters of the Severn River, home to a number of platypus. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy. Please call Bob for directions prior to arriving- 0409 155 147. We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks. There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all-weather gravel road to the site. One camping site is beside the river and the other is a choice of mown spots for you to select from. We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit. More firewood can be purchased from Bob, our Caretaker. There is abundant wildlife, including Platypus and a pleasant track along the river, wandering in among the granite rocks, to a picnic place.

Jindalee River Camp
What a beautiful piece of earth. So peaceful, lush and relaxing. So much flora and fauna to see - deer, hares, rabbits, wallaroo, kangaroos, platypus and more. This camp is for self contained vehicles/off grid or campers. Wood supplied by Bob the amazing caretaker. There’s a drop toilet with a great view.

Jindalee Bush Camp Site 2
Such a beautiful and peaceful property. Bob was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We stayed at the bush camp site, and while there were other campers at the river site, you would not have have known, the sites are separated well to give good privacy. Firewood that was provided was ample for the night, and a great bonus to be included in the price. Would absolutely recommend and would love to return for a longer stay next time if we get the chance.
