We loved our long weekend at Aaron's property. It was 40C and he recommended a 30min drive to the Colo River which was beautiful with clear freshwater and a rope swim in the river was a hit with our teenage son.
The campsite had a great firepit with rocks which we used for cooking meals and the site was away from the other campsite so felt very private and not noisy.
Recommend to anyone that likes a simple campsite and is ok with bringing your own water and a very basic compost toilet.
Very peaceful and we felt like we were hours away from the city!

Lovely view to the mountains and super starry skies. It’s an elevated site with a large fire pit and a friendly host. Pretty wildflowers greeted
us. The power stauntion wasn’t an issue for us at all. The ants were huge but that was the only downside. Bring bug spray. Overall exactly what we wanted for a quick local escape.

It was nice camping definately👍🏻 We really enjoyed and felt like there were only us in the world. But too many ants and flies disturbed our time and toilet was terrible... Forest view and wonderful skyview XD! Must bring 4WW vehicle.

Campsite was basic. Bush camping. Pretty back to basics. Which isn’t a bad thing. The campsite didn’t have much shade. The land was not flat. Basically camping on the driving track. There was fire pits which was great. Overall it’s pretty basic and raw. We got in a night so we didn’t really explore if there was much more to offer.
If you like camping in the bush, this is fine. You do need a 4WD to get down and up. Overall it was perfect for our needed location. Pretty basic. Nothing to sing home about but still we enjoyed our time there. Would come back if we needed to be camping around that area.
We also got in late which makes it harder. There was a nice casual sense around the place.

Great spot, teanquil. Hard to pitch tent pegs due to the ground being mostly rock but its not really an issue.
Id go bavo again.

Unfortunately we didn’t end up staying as we were craving nature and it was right on the road and under an electricity pylon.
We also informed them we had tents and there was no grass. Nice view and there was a bench but not what we were after.
Unfortunately we weren’t given a refund and instead the host was quite rude

Overall great wild experience. Access is ok for none 4WD, but need a bit of experience. Host was very helpfull. Camp site are far appart and very quiet.

Access road is rocky and bumpy and leads to a site which is essentially bush.
There is a “toilet” but it’s a bucket surrounded. By solar panels for walls, so I wouldn’t rely on it.
If you want basic bush camping you will be fine.

Very secluded spot, perfect for a night away without having to travel too far. The host was fantastic, stayed with us on the phone until we found the camp ground. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.

Great spot for a few nights out in the bush. Lots of deadfall wood around to burn. The site in the centre of the loop has a very large fire pit. If arriving at night, watch for the "Jarrah" sign on the left side of the road/tracks - it can be hard to spot in the dark.

We never stayed here as we could not get address on time and cancelled so need to have a refund.
We were advised we had to request a refund direct with Hipcamp. Which is a bit stupid.
Anyway please advise when we can get our refund for the full stay.

Nice place close to where we live. Nice view from the campsite with a fire pit and outdoor chair. A little close to the road but can’t complain for $13. Aaron’s a good bloke who said I could stay there the whole day and there was wood for the fire when I arrived. Thanks again

The convenience to Syd is hard to beat, a great pit stop before driving or camping further afield. Small camp area so if there are many there may not be so private but we were lucky to have the place to ourselves. Easy communication with host. Would return!

Nice spot, lots of wildlife.
There are some powerlines in the distance, but they’re totally unobtrusive. The site was excellent value for the money.
A previous Camper had smashed some glass on the site we wanted, which the host was upfront about. It was all sorted out.
Good super fast communication from the host too

We were not able to camp in Aaron’s camp
Site because of lack of communication. I needed to book a new camp site as we were driving to NSW because no proper response was received from the the host (I was told there was no mobile reception) I am more disappointed with HIPCAMP because there were no assistance provided. Even if I marked my email URGENT still nothing. Happy to receive my full refund with no hassle though.

We spent $74 for 4 nights. Not bad but I believe it was a bit pricey for no toilets, showers or water access. No rivers/lakes. Just bushland and a lot of bull ants. Was alright
