We loved our stay at Halacal farm. It’s now one of our favourite hipcamps.
We had a huge private site with beautiful views of the valley. The whole area is gorgeous. Loved having the horses around us and the fireflies lit up at night made our camp so magical.
Luke the host is such an awesome guy too. He’s a genuine top bloke. Even despite the fact our Simba got into a very surprising scruff with his beautiful Titan he never made us feel anything but welcome. He was always accomodating and helpful with anything we needed and told us about some beautiful spots to check out.
Missing it there already. Will definitely be back. Thank you Luke and the fam you’re amazing! Thinking of Titan and hoping he’s ok xx

I loved camping here, it’s close to home and yet feels so far away from everyone.
If you’re seeking solitude with views - this is your place.
Luke is a diligent host, great comms and will make you feel welcome. His dog Tyson is a great guide and guard. He kept us company, is very well mannered and likes to keep watch over the campers. I felt very safe on Luke’s farm.

Had an awesome weekend at Halacal Farm - Lambs Valley. Very private camp site with beautiful views and a fantastic host. Our border collie had a ball pretending to be a free range dog (off lead campsite), but remember she was a house dog when she got tired after a few rounds of fetch. We had horses in the paddock with us and the farm husky stayed with us all weekend keeping us safe and making sure we didn’t get lost when exploring. We also saw an echidna 🦔 and some kangaroos, but the big highlight was the resident highland cows… our daughter got to feed them, she was so excited and loved every second of it.

I had a lovely stay at this campsite! The location was peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Luke was incredibly kind and welcoming he made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
A special mention goes to their friendly dog, Titan, who quickly became the highlight of our stay. He was so sweet and playful, always around for a pat or a little company by the fire.

We had a lovely time at Halacal farm on our site up high on the hill with a beautiful outlook over the valley and mountains. The first night was a write off due to the weather system that had huge gusts of wind so we didn’t have a fire and just chilled out inside the caravan, but the second night was picture perfect, and we enjoyed the fire and dinner cooked in the camp oven. Luke was a very welcoming and helpful host and the resident wolf (malamute) enjoyed hanging out with us and our pup. Was a very pleasant stay and less from an hour from home, lots of wildlife around and of course the big highland cows to top it all off. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

100% would recommend staying at Halacal Farm, it's a great place to chill out and unwind.
Titan the Husky is a great companion while you're staying and will happily and politely take all the affection you can give him.
Donald Rump and Vladimir Mootin are awesome highlanders that get very curious and playful.
Most of all Luke is a great host, easy going and all round just a great guy to have a chat with.
Thankyou for having us and we'll see you next time.

From the initial booking of the sites to driving out of camp, we could not fault this HipCamp. Hosts, Luke and Heather were so easy going, nothing was an issue. Camp grounds were really well maintained, clean and perfect for what we wanted. The views were second to none and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Luke gave us a great tour of the property, took us to feed their two highland cows (bucket list ✅) and provided a lot of local information. Also loved the little visits from the most behaved and chilled out farm dog we have ever met, Titan. Definitely going to be one of our go to camps from now on. Highly recommend! Thanks again for having us!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful Hipcamp spot. The host, Luke, was incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived, escorting us to site and making sure we had everything we needed.
One of the highlights was the afternoon feeding of the Highland cows – a unique and memorable experience. The property’s friendly dog, Titan, added an extra touch of charm, happily making his rounds to say hello.
The campsites were spacious and well laid out, offering privacy and panoramic views that made every sunset spectacular. It's definitely suitable for caravans, though you’ll want to bring leveling blocks as some sites are slightly uneven.
Overall, it’s a peaceful, scenic spot perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. We’d absolutely stay again!

Wonderful experience on the Seclusion site. Great little spot for us with our 2 Labs. Luke the host was great. Checked to see if we needed anything when we arrived and gave us plenty of firewood with teh selected add on available. We were lucky enough to be around to meet the Hairy Cows onsite which was a stand out for us and very unexpected.
Recommended for those who want serenity, quiet and some time away from the daily grind.

We loved this peaceful, private campsite surrounded by nature. Meeting the farm’s adorable long-haired cows and playful sheep. The host was incredibly kind, giving us a tour and sharing stories about the animals. Perfect for a quiet escape!

Sensational weekend getaway up on firefly ridge.
Luke met us for a warm welcome and guided us up to the campsite after dark. Great views down the valley and feels remote enough to switch off, the toilet only a short walk from the campsite. Couldn’t ask for much more.

Beautiful scenery from up on top of the hill! Stunning sunsets and foggy mornings during Autumn, perfect for crackling fires.
Quiet and peaceful location, with a sense of privacy even on the open hill. Very basic drop toilet a bit of a walk away if needed.
Luke is a welcoming host and was accomodating, despite me being a last minute/same day booking.
I look forward to returning to camp again next time I’m in the area.

Luke was an absolute legend, great host, super friendly apon arrival and was ready for us when we got there, showed us to the camp site (super easy access for cars and caravans) that was pre set up with a camp fire. The photos don’t do this campsite justice with beautiful views that only get better with the sunset through the valley, definitely a must if you are looking for camping in the area, highly recommend the camping spots and Luke’s service, will definitely be coming back very soon!
