Grady’s Riverside Retreat was first established in 1979. The retreat is located 20 minutes west of Nowra and is set on 17 secluded acres on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, surrounded by natural bushland, mountains, cliffs and dairy pastures. This makes Grady’s Riverside Retreat an ideal place to bring your friends and family to relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery. Grady’s has over 500 metres of direct access to the Shoalhaven River. The river is deep and also is tidal which means we have a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish that inhabit these waters. Majority of our well maintained grassy sites are located along the river or have uninterrupted river views. With a boat ramp and beach areas for you to utilise at your leisure. Grady's is a pet friendly Retreat and we also allow campfires. We strongly believe these few extra things are essential to create a true camping experience. The park grounds are well maintained throughout the year. The amenities are fresh and cleaned daily. If you are the adventurous type there are many activities to offer in the vicinity such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, bushwalks, 4WDriving, bike riding, jet skiing, water skiing and much more. Come and enjoy our absolute riverfront camping, -Secluded camping sites are available on request (subject to availability) -We also have powered camp sites and Riverview cabins and cottages available. -The picturesque banks of the Shoalhaven River play host to the perfect escape from the burdens of city life. We have large sites, secluded sites, riverview sites, open fires, access to a camp kitchen and clean toilet/shower and laundry amenities.  If you'd like to bring your furry family member please contact us first to seek our approval. We welcome well behaved dogs on leashes. All guests can access the jetty, boat ramp, kids BMX track, or you can go canoeing, fishing and swimming in the river. Nearby you will find water-skiing, kayaking and 4WDing. Grady’s Riverside Retreat was first established in 1979. It was a lovely stay by the riverside with very close access to the river. The campsite was very spacious and had clean toilet and shower facilities! Would definitely recommend this campsite and also would love to come again!

Grady's is a great spot down by the river. It is affordable and pet friendly and you are able to have a fire in the fire pits that are scattered all through the camping area.

Alma was so lovely. Gave us a super beautiful private spot. Amenities were clean and easy to access. River was lovely to swim in. Would highly recommend and would come back!

Grady’s is a gorgeous place to stay! Ammenities are super clean and staff are very friendly. The river is lovely to cool down in. I read many reviews about flies and was concerned. We had no issues in October at all.

We stayed for three nights. We had a great site by Shoalhaven river with some tree canopy to shield from mid day sun. We all enjoyed the water play and kayak, plus some fishing. Didn’t catch anything however. The playground by reception kept the kids busy for a couple of hours every day. Reception has ice, firewood and some basic essentials. Access to the bathroom/shower facility was easy, the facility was extremely clean. Water tap and bins are right by camp which made cooking very easy. There is a shared cooking shed, but didn’t need it as we have our own setup. Telstra has good mobile reception, nothing for Vodafone or Optus. Reception has guest wifi if anyone is desperate for internet. We enjoyed the technology detox overall. Saw a few wombat burrows, and spotted a wombat moving around at night. Fire drum is provided for every site. Great place and will return.

As a single F camper i felt completely safe at all times. Whilst the campsites are close together and it was unusually busy I was told it was still very peaceful ✌️. The bird life stood out so many different birds!

Such a lovely site to camp, was well above expectations! The unpowered tent sites are fantastic, they are very generously sized and they have spaced each site so that you don’t feel like you are right on top of your neighbour! Each site has its own general bin, recycling bin, water tap and fire pit! We were there the first weekend of the school holidays and it didn’t feel overcrowded in the slightest! The river frontage is spectacular, we spent most of our days there just watching the river flow by. The only downside to the unpowered sites is that the amenities are up a large set of stairs so if mobility is an issue for you the powered sites would be more suitable but lack river views. The camp kitchen had everything you could need including a kettle, microwave and fridge! Ammenities were clean and tidy and they have a little general store well stocked with all the little things you always forget when camping AND most importantly they have a coffee machine so you can have your flat white or latte of a morning! Alma the owner was very welcoming and helpful!

Perfect flat and clean non powered camp-site and friendly service made setup very easy all camp-site sites seem to have a good view overlooking the Shoalhaven River with an accessible boat ramp makes it easy for canoing or kayaking .

Great spot to stay. We camped in our tent by the river, wasn’t too noisy. Bathroom and shower is great although it’s a bit of a walk up some stairs. If you forget ice or wood there is a small shop where you can buy some there, as well as snacks and drinks. It’s not open all day so make sure to speak to the host.

Spacious sites in front of the river! Really accommodating with bins by every site which made it easy to clean up. Only down fall was our neighbour who had the generator out outside of the allocated hours, but we’ll be back!

This was such a beautiful place. The weekend was busy but we stayed a few extra days through the week and it was so peaceful. They allowed us to move sites so we were right on the river.

Our camping spot was down on the river. Just a short walk to the nice amenities which were always kept clean. The property had its own jumping pillow, park and mini bmx bike circuit for the kids. There were allocated camping sites which were quite large and plenty of space between sites.

Great little campground, big unpowered spots overlooking the river. Amenities were good, we didnt use the camp kitchen. Campgrounds were quite busy for a random march wknd, and this is not bush camping so if campgrounds arent your thing plenty of others available. Kids had a blast kayaking and paddle boarding across the river, recommend life vests if they are not strong swimmers. Also the bouncey pillow and the playground were a hit with lots of kids.

Not really a retreat just barking dogs constantly River access is limited and just gets crowded. The abundance of fish due to it being tidal not (title) as per the website leaves a lot to wonder as how do flathead etc get up rapids???
