"Glendawn" is a small farming/ cattle grazing property with many beaut spots for camping. There are 2 sites with access to power and a few others without. It's a great place to get away but not too far from town. Fire pits and some firewood provided. We have a powered site in the old Woolshed. The Woolshed has had some modifications. It has a camp kitchen, hot and cold running water, toilet & shower. There is a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, chairs, power and lighting. Large central area indoors. Its a delightful spot in the paddock to enjoy being "in the country". The woolshed itself is 2WD accessible. In the winter months its really quite cold overnight. There's a great outdoor firepit and I provide firewood for $10. There's a patio heater too and its 8kg gas cylinder costs $30. I will provide the first one. This venue has been popular for families 'plugging in' their vans and for others to roll their swags out either inside the shed or under the stars. Privacy and peace and quiet in abundance here. We also have unpowered camping in the paddocks. There are a few places with shade near a dam, by the old hayshed, or on a hill with views over the valley, excellent sunsets and a clearing for camping, 4WD accessible. Children under 12 stay for free on unpowered sites!

Powered site near the Woolshed. The Woolshed has had some modifications. It has a camp kitchen, hot & cold running water, toilet & shower. There is a fridge, microwave, gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, chairs, power and lighting. Large central area indoors. Its a delightful spot in the paddock to enjoy being "in the country"  The woolshed itself is 2WD accessible. In the winter months its really quite cold overnight. The Old Hayshed

The old Hayshed provides some shade and shelter in a mown patch on the property. There's a ring of stones for your fire and views of the surrounding paddocks. There's room for a couple of vans if you're travelling with friends.

We loved our stay at Glendawn on the Woolshed site! We had plenty of space to ourselves and the Woolshed was perfect to have especially on the stormy night that we decided to stay! A toilet and hot shower was also a massive bonus! Thank you for being so friendly and having us Frances, we’ll definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Setting up our stretchers in the shearing shed was fun. A beautiful rustic building with hot shower and flushing toilet. Awoke to birds singing and gorgeous country side.

I stayed at The Woolshed in my tent with my two dogs, and it was absolutely perfect. Directions were super clear and communication with Frances was excellent. Even while she was dealing with a family tragedy, she was incredibly kind and responsive. The location is brilliant, a great base for exploring all that the New England High Country has to offer. The dogs had the best time roaming and exploring. They were intrigued by the cattle and perhaps don’t have a future as farm dogs! The facilities were amazing: a hot, clean shower and toilet, plus access to the fridge and camp kitchen in the woolshed, which was a real bonus. The sunsets were to die for, and the peace and quiet made it feel like I was a million miles away. It was exactly what I needed. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-set-up stay. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

The Woolshed is in a beautiful spot, with magical views. It’s got a great camp kitchen & bathroom and loads of indoor space for the kids to run around in poor weather. Easy drive into town. Frances is a very welcoming host. We and I had a great time there for a couple of nights.

This has got to be one of the best possible camp sites. We loved it. Access to the woodshed, to power, toilet and a great shower. Lots of great touches to make the time a delight. I can’t recommend it enough. We’ll be back!

The Old Hayshed
We camped at the Old Hayshed, and we can’t wait to do it again! The setting is stunning, a generous area for our party and caravans. Frances was lovely and very gracious to us during our stay. We will definitely be back. Thankyou!

Absolutely amazing and exactly what we needed. After packing up that morning in the rain, the thought of setting up camp again in the rain was almost enough to scrap the holiday and head home. Frances was so welcoming and the dry barn that we were able to set our swags up in was a god send. We had a fabulous night, dried ourselves out and happily set off again in the morning - thankfully in the sun! The barn was full of character, had everything you need and more for camping, had a very hot, powerful and clean shower next to a seperate toilet and was only a ten minute drive into town. We will definetely be back - thank you Frances!

This is the second time we have stayed at Glen Dawn and we had another amazing trip, previously we have stayed just four of us and loved it. This time there was 6 adults and 4 kids, we all had a blast, hot shower, plenty of room to set tents up inside out of the weather and a beautiful space to relax in together, with a fridge, heater, huge table, massive fire pit, and even a piano…which was interesting with a three year old, he loved it, we strapped it shut at one point! 😂 Mann River is just down the road and we spend full days splashing and playing with the kids. We headed to boundary falls and mulligans hut for day trips and loved our time. Would love to come back again!

Loved this campsite and having the use of the Woolshed topped off my stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the downtime in the peace and quiet of this excellent campsite and the stunning sunsets was the icing on the cake. Thank you Frances for letting me stay. It was truly awesome.

Francis was an amazing host. Communication was easy and the facilities were great. The woolshed was definitely an experience. As well as the small toilet and shower. We all very much enjoyed our over night stay and would definitely come again.

Absolutely amazing site! One of the most unique places I've stayed and the old Woolshed is just gorgeous. The host was super friendly and helpful and the shed was kitted out fantastically with a kitchen and bathroom. The fairy lights were a great addition once it was dark too. We'll definitely be back again!

This is our second visit to the Woolshed. This time we brought along some friends to enjoy this unique experience. Frances is a great host who makes sure you don’t want for anything and also gives us our space to enjoy the area. The Woolshed has power. A rustic basic kitchen with huge dining area, fire pit and we plugged our motorhomes into the available power. Our dogs loved running around on the lovely grassed fields also.. A definite favourite for us and we will return again..

The Old Hayshed
France’s property was an awesome place to stopper on our travels, we were at the old hay shed all to ourselves, but had a welcoming visit from Jack the Labrador, so peaceful and quiet. We will be back for a longer visit next time.

I loved the old woodshed setup! It is very quaint and has some beautiful views. The shed has basically anything you may need. It would be a great place to bring a group of friends and setup your caravans/camper trailers, tents, swags, etc. around the shed and use the woolshed as the common area. Which is what I will most likely do in the future.

France’s is extremely welcoming and friendly. Fantastic, peaceful campsite in beautiful countryside with amazing views, but only 10 mins drive into Glen Innes. I parked my caravan at the Woolshed so I had power and water. Great spot to camp at with lots of space to choose how you want to set up. It also has a fantastic shower and toilet as well. Can’t recommend Glendawn more highly. I’m already planning a return visit.

Beautiful quiet spot to camp. Initially booked at the spring however at the time it wasn’t suitable for our camper. Frances was really accommodating in helping us find a better spot at the old hay shed. Thanks again

I think this is an amazing place to spend the night. I know it looks expensive when compared with other local options BUT you get a Ab Fab experience for your money- can’t recommend highly enough

We loved the woolshed. It was so nice to “glamp” inside and have all dry tents and gear to unload when we got home. The showers and toilets were so noice to have as it was getting colder. We love glen innes and the surrounding area. So close to town and everything we wanted to explore. Our host was lovely! We will be back
