We loved the size of our campsite & the distance between us & other campers. Beautiful clean site, with easy access to the river. Definitely on our return list.

Lolanda and her husband were very accommodating, meeting and surpassing all of our requirements/needs.
The site was gorgeous with immediate access to great swimming holes.
The grounds were well kept with a distance from other campers that provided absolute privacy.
We intend to rebook this site in the future and happily recommend for others to stay.

It is a beautiful spot, the creek is clean and refreshing and you got to sleep listening to it burbling over the rocks. Adults and children alike can explore along the banks. The sites are well away from other sites. The hosts are friendly and very accommodating. A lovely spot that we will return to.

Another absolutely awesome stay. I’m jealous of how good these camp sites look, I wish my lawn looked this good. Shared a reel whilst we were there and have responded to multiple people who have asked where is this place and how do they book. Had people driving on the road stop us when going for a walk to take down the details of this amazing Hipcamp. The hosts are simply amazing and we absolutely love having a chat. Oh don’t tell anyone but we did see the platypus again. Water was simply amazing, flowing nicely with an abundance of small fish. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing riverside camp site! Well maintained grounds, lots of grass and level, with fire pits provided. Perfect for weekend get away. Many options for a dip in the river and the dogs loved it. The owners were great and checked in to see all was ok. Will definitely be back.

Awesome location just beside the Gloucester river. Lovely hosts and helpful with local knowledge.
Access to entrance 1 is a little challenging with a caravan - due to narrow entry and limited turning. All in all spots were very neat with generous fire pits. Particularly loved the river access, the large pools and some other spots have ready made rock pools. We will be back.

Beautiful quiet spot by the river. Multiple spots to swim, spacious campsites with big fire pits. We saw some beautiful wildlife too. Very friendly host who came down to check in. No phone reception which we loved to disconnect for a night.

Everything about this location is amazing! Waterholes onsite for swimming shaded riverside for escaping the heat. Sites well maintained and hosts friendly and helpful. Gloucester tops waterfall and swimming hole at the end of the road 50 min drive away.

Highly recommended. Deep and big swimming holes with plenty of room for everyone. Camping site 3 was very shady so keep van cool during a 40deg day. Went up to Gloucester falls for a walk and swim. Try the infinity pool past the jumping rock. 3rd time back and will definitely be going again. Even saw a koala on road up to the falls. Dogs welcome Thanks Iolanda and hubby

We had a wonderful stay here for the long weekend. Great fresh water swimming and close to the Barrington Tops National Park for an easy day trip to Gloucester Tops walls and swim holes. So worth it. The sites were large and hosts friendly and accommodating. We are already planning our return trip.

Stayed 3 nights here recently. Absolutely beautiful property on a cracking stretch of the river. An easy drive into Gloucester Falls and not too far out of town if you need supplies. Gloucester is also a beautiful town. Worth a visit.
Hosts were great. Very friendly and accomodating. We will be back!

This is one of the most perfect sites we have ever stayed on.
The river is right next to where you park.
A fire pit was already prepared and we were able to purchase wood!
We were fortunate enough to meet the lovely Iolanda.
We even saw a platypus !! Prettiest drive in too - the river crossings are spectacular

We had a wonderful stay here for the past week. The campsite was incredibly quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to truly unwind and relax. The river was absolutely beautiful and quickly became our favorite spot—we spent hours swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the calm surroundings. It was exactly the kind of escape we were hoping for, and we would happily return.
Garth & Yolanda were very friendly and perfect hosts.

Tight squeeze to get in but if you’re good at manoeuvring you can manage. Definitely a good stay and owners are very helpful.

The host was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Beautiful spot. Plenty of space, and nice swimming holes. We were visited by king parrots, and we saw platypus in the creek. Nicely situated with a drive in one direction to Gloucester and hiking trails in beautiful arctic beach rain forest in the other.

So this beautiful place has 5 campsites. 5 you will find it is on a slight slope and not much shade so make sure you bring your own, the river access is great. Hosts were lovely! I recommend booking campsites 1,2 or 3 as they have shade and are closer to the waterhole.

We had mixed feelings about this camping spot. We booked Sites 4 and 5 to ensure privacy from other campers, however the sites are actually quite close together and not very well marked.
Access is a bit tricky — the gate into the property is very tight for a car, and a double gate would make entry much easier. The sites are also quite close to the road (around 10 metres), which meant a lot of dust and road noise. The road was very busy during our stay, although this may have been due to the Christmas/New Year period.
The owners are lovely and welcoming, but when escaping to nature we didn’t expect dirt bikes being ridden around the property or the owner using a tractor to clear land daily, which took away from the peaceful camping experience.
On the positive side, the property is close to the river, although access from the campsites can be a little difficult. There isn’t much shade on the sites, but this is great if you’re running solar. The real highlight was the wildlife and birdlife — we saw king parrots, goannas, water dragons, and even brown snakes, which was fantastic for nature lovers.
Overall, a spot with potential, especially for wildlife and solar camping, but some improvements could make it a more relaxing and private camping.

Lolandas land was beautiful from arrival. Clear marking made it easy. Nestled up against hill protected us from weather and the peaceful flowing creek found us every afternoon relaxing after a day trip in the car. We even jagged a few sightings of the resident platypus
The cows and bird life were a bonus also

Great stay at Elsewhere (Escape2Nature) Site 2 on the Gloucester River. Amazing river access with easy entry to deeper pools and swimming holes. The site has plenty of shade and abundant wildlife, with loads of birdlife including a very friendly little kingfisher. We were also lucky enough to spot a platypus one evening (no photo, unfortunately!).
Our hosts, Iolanda and Garth, were warm and welcoming, and the work they’ve done on the property is fantastic — it genuinely felt like visiting old friends. While the site is close to the road, it didn’t affect our stay at all. We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing visit and even had time to finish a couple of books.
Thanks for the hospitality and for sharing your beautiful property. This one will be on our roster for regular visits.

Beautiful location on the pristine river. I heard big splashes which may have been platypus in two sections upstream and downstream from main waterhole. It’s close to Barrington tops for a day trip up to other waterholes and half hour from the gorgeous Gloucester town.

A wonderful spot right next to the river. Deep enough in parts to float in a tube; it was heaven.
The space was big enough for three vans and still room for our puppy to run and chase the frisbee.
Iolanda and her husband were wonderful hosts. Alway with a smile and a wave. We can’t thank them enough for letting us enjoy their little slice of paradise.

Great location and lovely hosts. A well maintained site. It is close to the road so you do get some dust from passing traffic, but this is minimal and only a potential issue of wind is blowing the wrong way - not really a problem. The river is beautiful and well shaded. Thanks

Just had three days at riverside camp spot 1. This place is perfect. Large non crowded sites. Easy access to river swimming hole, large flat open space for games etc with others. Nights were cool but Garth delivered firewood right to our site for small fee. Water was clean and refreshing. Completely off grid but spaces are perfect for solar power. Our dog had the best time exploring amongst the river rocks and open grass area. Highly recommend. Hosts leave you be but are available if needed.
