Nestled between Tenterfield and Casino, Dryland offers the luxury of base camping while exploring the wonders of the Northern Rivers. Within a 1.5 hour radius explore popular tourist destinations between country and coast - from Tenterfield to Ballina and everything in between. National Parks, Historical towships and sites and so much more. There's so much to see and do in the Northern Rivers. Or, stay onsite and enjoy this quiet retreat in nature. 100+ acres, with a mixture of natural bushland and grazing pastures. Explore the bushland and meet the native animals who reside there. Bird watching is a favourite here - everything from large native parrots to the smallest of finches. Dryland is safe and peaceful, with plenty of room to set up camp and not feel crowded in by your fellow campers. An ideal spot for solo travelers, families, or a simple 1 night stopover. The base price covers up to 6 people and one vehicle. If you have multiple vehicles, please book multiple sites. Currently catering to self-sufficient campers only, please only book if you can bring your own camp toilet with you. Pets, under supervision, are welcome, and pet sitting available upon request. See you when you get here! I'm in the next paddock, approximately 600m away! The camping sites are dotted throughout the long paddock, with cleared areas and treed areas, with more than enough space for multiple groups to spread out and enjoy their own private and peaceful patch. You'll be a very short stroll from the creek. The land is level and grassy. Find a spot whilst being mindful of keeping distance from other campers, set up camp, make yourself comfortable, and relax, or go exploring! This region was devastated by fires several years ago so whilst campfires are permitted, they must be put out before retiring at night and when you leave. Strictly not permitted when there's a fire ban/restrictions in place. If at all in doubt about the conditions, do not light a fire. Please toast your marshmallows responsibly! There is a communal fire pit you are welcome to use (a great area to congregate if you're feeling social), or you can bring your own small firepit that is elevated off the ground should you wish to have a private fire at your campsite. Telephone reception is excellent! The base price covers up to 6 people and one vehicle. If you have multiple vehicles, please book multiple sites.
