Great spot in a quiet location just off the road and an easy 20mins to Bathurst, even got to see the snow ⛄️, only thing is the sign is a little hard to read and see but maps will take you to the correct location.
Definitely recommend this spot on your way through Bathurst 🙏🏻

We had a great time at Heathers place , we stayed in a 21 ft caravan, directions were easy and getting in and setting up was no problem, lovely lush green paddock, levelling was not a problem, we stayed near the dam close to the road and I can’t remember even hearing a car.
Two super friendly horses, lamas and a sheep kept the kids on their toes.
Heather was a prefect host, great communication, and helpful.
Can’t wait to stay again

Easy to find, very peaceful and quiet - only one other camper there. Love the bathrooms and the very friendly animals. We had a great time there. A good stop off on the way home from NSW to SA.

Heather and Matt were the most amazing hosts from start to finish! The property is stunning with so much wild life! They have alpacas, a sheep and x2 horses one of them called Monty who came over for pats and a feed.
We woke up one morning to fox cubs playing with each other and climbing up and down a tree. Which is never seen before! Heather was very responsive and we met Matt as we drove in the property, our fridge in the van unfortunately stopped working but Matt and Heather saved the day by lending us an esky and a fridge we we are very greatful for!
Thanks for an amazing few days, 25 min from Bathurst and a beautiful part of the country! Couldn't recommend more!

It’s one of great campsite I had ever being to. I’m very surprised to have very spacious area it’s truely the way to experience the mountains.
It’s beautiful and peaceful place. Meeting close up with lovely animals - 2 friendly horses, llamas, sheep and lots of kangaroos.
Though there’s animals on campsite nevertheless is very well clean and well maintained the bin is clean too.
And the host is helpful and very responsive to our enquires as well.

We absolutely LOVED Copperwing. The position, the serenity, the friendly animals and wildlife, not to mention an outstanding host Heather! We were travelling with 3 pugs and it was just perfect. Will definitely be back.

Cottage View in Copperwing was our very first experience booking through Hipcamp and it was great first experience. The site was lovely, with rolling hills and friendly animals. Excellent Washroom facilities and firewood all within easy reach of your ‘freestyle’ pitch.

We recently stayed at this beautiful farm property and it was an amazing experience! The peaceful surroundings, friendly animals, and the lovely farm atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. My partner and I especially loved interacting with the animals — they were so friendly and loved being petted!
The bathroom was impressively clean and well-maintained, with the added bonus of a shower if needed. The whole place had such a relaxing vibe, and we felt very welcomed throughout our stay.
If you're looking for a tranquil farm retreat with all the essentials, this is definitely the place to be!

We had a fantastic stay at Copperwing, conveniently located near Bathurst and surrounds. The campsite features a cozy fire pit (when no bans), a loo and gorgeous pastures for free grazing horses, alpacas & sheep. Heather is a great host and we highly recommend staying here for a great outdoor experience!

Our host Heather was a great communicator and made our stay an absolute pleasure. Amenities were very clean and the camp spot we chose was perfect for us. The location is incredibly convenient to forestry, State and National parks and served as a brilliant base for our two-night stay. Will happily go back and repeat. I would recommend to friends.

Absolutely awesome experience. Super friendly horses that the kids just loved! Roaming Alpacas and sheep just added to the farm experience. We had a ball. It was a secure private location with an idyllic outlook. Absolutely stunning so relaxing. We would highly recommend this place to all!

My partner and I camped here for 2 nights and it was lovely to look out and see the view along with the friendly horses and alpacas. Heather was quick to respond and very accomodating.

We recently took our caravan to Heathers property and the experience was incredible. Heather and her husband welcomed us and were very accommodating. They gave us some food to feed the animals which was very nice of them. Their land is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend.

My family and I camped two nights at Copperwing and we had a very lovely time. It was peaceful and quiet and was a great spot to camp at. Could definitely see us visiting again. Also wanted to thank the hosts who were very hospitable during our stay. On our second night, we were close to running out of wood to burn and the hosts were amazing to offer us plenty of wood(even more than we could use) without us even saying a word.

Directions were clear, beautiful property. Heather was so cheerful and quick to reply! The shower and toilet are easy to access. The shower only has cold water, but that was not an issue! I would highly recommend staying here! Was great to pat the horses as well :)!

Throughly enjoyed camping at Copperwing and observing the horses and alpacas. Keen to return to see them again. Highly recommend. It's worthwhile to camp there regardless of the distance you are from the location.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Copperwing. Heather is a first-rate host who gave clear directions, greeted us after arrival, and gave us complete privacy during our stay. The site itself is level, well maintained, easy to access, located behind trees and is very private and quiet. Because Heather only takes one booking, we had the place to ourselves. The comfort of campers has been carefully considered with an amenities block; a clean flush toilet, sinks and running water - all welcome luxuries for off the grid campers. The farm itself has stunning views of the Valley - it is a beautiful place. The 3 horses, 5 Alpacas and one sheep curiously observed us during our stay - such a delight. We highly recommend staying at Copperwing. We definitely would stay again. Thank you, Heather. Sharon and Steve

Our family loved camping here - plenty of animals (kangaroos, horses etc) and birdlife to keep the kids entertained. Toilet is clean and easily accessible - makes it much easier with kids! We only stayed one night as we were passing through but will stay longer next time
