This is a stunning camping spot with exclusive freshwater Clyde River frontage. We accept only one booking at a time, ensuring you have the use of the entire camp and amenities to yourselves. To secure your booking we require a minimum of 6 adults (2 x children= 1 adult) Day trip possibilities are plentiful as the Shoalhaven has a lot to offer. We are 20km west of beautiful Bawley Point beaches, 33km south of historic Milton which boasts fine dining plus great shopping and the same distance via a different route to Ulladulla and its quaint harbour. For the more energetic there some great bushwalks, including climbing Didthul (pigeon house). Ideally configured for 20. Additional camp sites are available in an adjoining space. The shed has a bar with cold, potable water. A few tables and chairs are provided for your convenience. The lights require a small generator to power them. We use a 2kv With private access to one of the largest waterholes on the freshwater Clyde, you are welcome to bring your own kayaks, fishing gear (license required) and flotation devices. Children are welcome, although must be supervised at all times due to the proximity of the river and steep bush land. Sorry, pets are not permitted with future bookings This is not a party venue. The shed must be vacated by 10pm Please note access roads are not all sealed, including 18km gravel via Milton and 13km gravel via Termeil. Currently suitable for all vehicle types.

Clyde River Camp offers exclusive camping for friends and families, offering a rare opportunity to have use of the entire campground and amenities. We accept only one group booking at a time, ensuring seclusion and privacy. The camp is situated on 4 hectares approximately 35km from historic Milton and Mollymook/Ulladulla and only 20km from beautiful Bawley beaches on the stunning south coast, NSW. Clyde River Camp is only a few steps from one of the deepest, easily accessed, fresh water swimming holes on the pristine Clyde River. Platypus, wombats, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, goannas etc and abundant birds share this space.  Non-designated camp sites are grassy and flat and surround a central fire pit.  In addition to the peaceful ambience of this camp, we offer the use of a  renovated large shed, an added bonus in inclement weather. There is an abundance of tables and chairs set up for that perfect long lunch, or relaxing after a day’s swimming and fishing. The shed is not a party venue. Music, if not loud, is fine but amplified music is not permitted as it may disturb the neighbours. A small generator to power the lights inside the shed is permitted, but must be switched off and the shed vacated by 10pm. We cater to a maximum of 20 campers but are open to requests, if reasonable, as guests can access an adjoining clearing to set up camp. To secure your booking we require a minimum of 6 adults for a minimum 2 day stay (2 children, aged 2-16 years, equal 1 adult) 3 day minimum during peak times (summer school holidays and long weekends) No pets. Well behaved dogs are welcome. No cats. Please run it by the owner when booking if you'd like to bring your furry friends. Dogs MUST NOT STRAY on to neighbouring property and must be contained/tied up overnight. Please pick up after your dog. Being close to the coast tick prevention is essential.

We LOVED our stay at Bob & Julie’s beautiful spot on the river. We loved floating up & down the river on the SUPs and kayaks & the kids had some quality mud fights on the river banks. Bob & Julie were amazing hosts - very responsive & incredibly welcoming. Our kids popped over to see their donkeys daily and we were spoilt with some home-grown lemons & limes & freshly laid eggs on our last morning. The shortcut road to the property from Termeil is better suited for a 4x4 but manageable in a non-4x4 - will just need to take some sections slowly. The shed is a lovely facility to have. We were spoilt with beautiful weather so only really went up for the toilet & to wash dishes but in wet weather it would be a life saver. We had little bandicoots hopping around the campsite at night & saw wallabies along the banks of the river while kayaking. Lots of bird life - beautiful! We will be back for sure!

Thank you Bob & Julie for sharing Clyde River Camp with us. We had the BEST time and will absolutely be coming back. For those looking to stay at this property we recommend highly. The camp ground was well considered with plenty of space for the four families we hung out with over the past six nights. We loved the three levels of country available at this HipCamp. The top level was home to the kids retreat in the shed and kitchen cleaning within the bar, which I'm sure would have been used as a bar had the weather not been so great. It was also our daily cricket pitch. The middle level provided plenty of room for the four families we camped with. The bottom level was the peaceful & prestine Clyde River that we are all missing already. Most of our days were spent riverside on our SUPs, canoes and floating devices or lounging around the table in deep appreciation of the beautiful space we had discovered. Bob & Julie are the ultimate hosts and humans. We can't wait to stay with you both again. Thank you for sharing your home with us and taking us to visit Big Spotty 😊

Amazing spot for a group. Shed is lovely for some shelter, there is a couple of fire pits to gather around. Plenty of birds, fish, wombats and bandicoots around as well. River is lovely. Very cold and super fresh water. Really an amazing bush camp. Julie and Bob are great hosts. Very highly recommended. Would love to return. No mobile reception- perfect! Make sure you do a tick and leech check, they are around. Not a big deal- just pack a tick freeze pen.

Lovely little campsite by the Clyde River. Well kept grounds, peaceful and quiet. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back…but hopefully next time we will catch a fish! No luck this time. Thank you for having us, Bob and Julie.

Great facilities on the Clyde River

We camped for 3 nights and were very impressed with the facilities. The massive shed was awesome and it was great to have potable water for cooking and washing up. It was so peaceful paddling along the Clyde River and we enjoyed seeing a couple of sugar gliders in the trees at night. We hiked up Pigeon House mountain and explored Milton and surrounds. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a peaceful camping experience.

A beautiful private spot on the Clyde river for our Easter camping trip. Great swimming and plenty of room for us and our friends. Directions were easy to follow and Bob and Julie were great hosts.

We’ve recently spent a weekend here with our fishing club, the hosts were amazing to deal with and the venue was immaculate. While we didn’t need the shed it was well set up and extremely clean, the water entry was excellent and the tracks ton the water well mowed. We have booked again already.

Our crew of family and friends loved our stay at Clyde River Camp. We had 5 families stay with kids ages ranging from 7 months to 17 years and everyone had a ball! There was plenty of room for all to set up and we could spread out so we weren’t camping in each others pockets. “The Shed” is just amazing and provides the best communal area. It has an amazing bar and kitchen area and so much room with multiple tables and chairs for everyone. The river is cool and refreshing on those hot afternoons and provides an afternoon bass fishing session. Flicking the top water cicada lures were the go to options and produced some decent fish out of the kayaks. Julie and Bob are amazing hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We’ll definitely be heading back and highly recommend this place for anybody wanting a weekend get away. Cheers 🍻 Nathan.

The campsire is beautiful with so much wildlife. The shed is also uniquely great - clean, spacious and neatly renovated with sink and tables and chairs (was a big saver for us in the wet weather)

This place is idyllic. Easy short access (20m), for both kayaking and swimming, into a wonderful deep sport on the Clyde. The shed is fantastic and well equipped for entertaining and shelter. We had a bit of rain so set up swags down on end of the shed for the kids. 3 swags did not take up even a 1/4 of the shed. Shed well set up with lights should you wish to bring a generator. Long drop loo was clean. Would definitely come back again. Julie, the host, easy to communicate with :)

Great little space with well thought out barn/ toilet and running water in the sink in the barn. We struggled entering the actual property due to the grounds being so wet, no fault of owners (jeep towing a 19ft caravan), but other than that we will definitely be back in summer to really enjoy the entire property

Third June long weekend in a row. Same crew and we will be back. Love having the place to ourselves. Plenty of firewood around to collect, the river is beautiful, the campsite is well kept and clean. Bob and Julie are great hosts.

A simply beautiful piece of land adjoining the Clyde river. Incidentally, the Clyde River is one of the last major NSW rivers not damned or irrigated, resulting in abundant wildlife in and out of the water. It rained and rained on our trip, but the fantastic, well equipped shed saved the day. So good!

We had a great stay! Lots of swimming. The river was lovely. Make sure you pack some floatation devices especially if you have kids. Great fire pits. Loved the shed/amenities area - was a godsend as it rained one night. Great bar area can do a bit of food prep. So much attention to detail at the shed. Lots of lovely hand built touches.
