Great spot, very private and well equipped with shade structure, water, pit toilet, tables, chairs, fireplace and firewood.
Great for a family or small group getaway.
Nice bushwalks nearby, also a dam for swimming.

The experience was perfect. The campsite is close to a stream and a pond, with a great fire pit and tap water , a large shed to enjoy leisure time, and a convenient toilet. There are also several excellent hiking trails nearby, where you can enjoy the natural beauty when the weather is nice. It's easy to get in and out, and you don't need a 4x4 to get there(i drive a suv). All in all, it was an unforgettable experience. Five stars recommended!

We love the place, very peaceful, clean toilet and great fire pit, wood, table, chairs and weather protection. Josh was really helpful and got out of his way to fix one of the kids bike, so very much appreciated.

The perfect getaway! Me and my boys (age 6 and 8) had an amazing camp. Boys loved exploring the creek, swimming in the dam, fire at night, the rainforest walk, saying hi to the sheep and sleeping to the melody of the frogs. So great to just turn up with a tent + food and have everything else there for you. It was perfect. Thanks Cath!

It was absolutely beautiful and peacefull. Cath was lovely and her property is absolutely beautiful. She showed us to our camp sites and left us to it. We didnt see ot hear her for the rest of our stay. The walking trails are quite beautiful. The kids really enjoyed the freedom or running around. We were also able to get our commodore in no issue but is a dirt bumpy road.

We loved our time at Cath’s camping spot. The campsite is equipped with a campfire with grill for cooking and ample firewood, big undercover area, clean drop toilet, lovely deck with picnic table and chairs, and clean running water, sink and bench top for cleaning. Our dogs had a great time and met one of the gorgeous ridgebacks who hung out with us for a while. It was very quiet and private on site.
Things to note: we did have a few ticks that were around and on the dogs and tents. There was no phone reception.
We’d love to come back!

Beautiful slice of secluded bush paradise. A few nice walks with local streams and dams. Needed a place great for small kids and our very large dog. Kept her on the long leash just because we didn’t want her to hassle the farms guardian dogs. There were a couple of paddocks where she could go off leash for a trot and to chase a frisbee though. Cath was a friendly and accommodating host. Would love to come again.

What an exceptional property. Cath was fantastic. Met us at the barn and escorted us to our site. First observations where wow. Things just got better from there. Flat spot for our van. The biggest fire pit I have seen, plenty of fire wood, a deck overlooking the dam, loads of water and an undercover area if weather turns bad. Very tidy and very secluded. We had the whole place to ourselves. Will be going back for sure. Cath has a few dogs which are loud and boisterous but friendly. One dog hung around and want to play with our dog but she wasn't interested so the dog left. Didn't see them again.

Cath’s property is beautiful and the camp spot is so well equipped. Lots of firewood, a drop toilet, great bush walking and tank water!! We had a diabolical car issue and Cath spent her whole morning helping us, we couldn’t be more grateful 🤍

Brightwater camp was great! Ammenties were very well looked after and clean, undercover area was amazing as it did rain a bit. The two walking tracks were good. Very peaceful and great for a weekend getaway.

Could not recommend this property enough! The shelter was really appreciated on our second night when it started to rain, directions were clear, location was perfect and honestly we can’t wait to come back as soon as possible!!! Thank you for a perfect, relaxing weekend away.

The hipcamp is a lovely site with the deck, pergola, fireplace, toilet, dam and bushwalks.
Enjoyed having the site to ourselves.
Just some things to be aware of for other campers. Most of the firewood provided was all treated wood which can be carcinogenic if burnt, if we had known this we would have easily brought some. The property is a working farm with guardian dogs which guard the property at night. We were not advised of this until getting to the site. We were told our dogs had to be locked in our car from sunset to sunrise. The guardian dogs also bark quite often throughout the night which unfortunately set off our dogs. If you don't have sound reactive dogs then all good just something to be aware of. There are leeches in the dam so just make sure you check yourselves or dogs after a swim.
Final note is the stars looked amazing.

Great little hideaway. Clean facilities. Firewood ready to go for us. We took our caravan but i wouldn't suggest any bigger than 26ft van would fit there. Great bush walks on the property. Wish I could of stayed longer.

Very pleasant experience. The place where the camp was situated, near the damn, was straight out of a story book. Quiet, relaxed, firewood provided, secluded and perfect for a tech free escape. Cath was a generous host and also helped me out by charging my lithium batteries which ran out of juice. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

We had such a wonderful time at Spring Dam. It suited our needs perfectly and the shelter area was much appreciated when the weather unexpectedly closed in. Lots of thoughtful touches incl great signage for the walks. Dam was chilly but refreshing for dip. Plum the resident ridgey is gorgeous. We will be back 😊.

This was our first time using hip camp and we loved our stay! A perfect mix of being private and secluded with convenience of running water and not super far from town. From the walking tracks, the dam, the big shed and the sun deckk, bright water is delightful
