Looking for some peace and tranquility? We'd love for you to enjoy a spot in front of our creek on our 53 acre property, Brazenhead, which is surrounded by 1.3kms of the Winburndale Rivulet. Brazenhead is a 15 minute drive to the closest shops, 20 minutes into Bathurst, 30 minutes from Sofala and 1 hour from the historic Hill End. There is ample space for groups, with wide open spaces but also plenty of trees for shade. Fires are permitted in the spots provided and according to local fire restrictions. The creek is a good spot to try some gold panning, go exploring and also has some deep swimming holes for you to enjoy. Pitch your tent or pull up your camping vehicle next to our creek! You will have complete privacy, only the kangaroos and other wildlife to share your trip with. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around, kick a ball, play some cricket, or go exploring along the creek during the day. In the evenings everyone can sit and relax in the quiet in front of a campfire. We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. The campsite is 2WD accessible with plenty of room and flat space to camp on. Not far from our property you can find the Bridle Track, which is very well known by 4WD enthusiasts. It was originally built as the first road between Bathurst and Hill End during the gold rush era, and was given its name due to horsemen having to dismount and guide their horses by the bridle through the very narrow sections. If you visit in November you may be here for the annual Marmalade Festival, with good weather, musicians, stalls and of course jams and marmalades! No pets please.

Great spot, nice and quiet, easy to find and close enough to Bathurst to be an easy run in. Nice little creek on the boundry and each site is massive and well spaced out.

We loved our stay at brazenhead campground. We were meet by the friendly owners on arrival and had the whole place to ourselves for 2days. The roaring fire pit and flowing creek made for a perfect relaxing weekend. Would highly recommend and will be back for sure.

Peaceful Camp for exploring Bathurs

We enjoyed 2 days at Brazenhead. Our host Jayne met us upon arrival and was friendly and helpful. The sites are level and a short walk to the creek which looked swimmable, but it was too cold for me. This camp is a a great base for exploring Bathurst and Hill End and the Bridle Track.

Site 4 - One Great Place
Great spot to camp next to the creek. Quiet and secure. Only 15 - 20 min out of Bathurst. Close to the Bridal Track. Our families had a wonderful weekend. We would return again.

Jayne was a lovely host and we had a wonderful, relaxing Easter Long weekend. Nice quiet spot with a designated fire pit for each camp site. Close to Bathurst if you need to pop into town for anything. We will be definitely be back.

Wow what a spot! we absolutely loved our stay here. it was so peaceful and the free firewood was a massive bonus for each evenings camp fire. We cant recommend this place enough!

Really lovely campsite with a ton of space on lush green grass. Jayne and Dean are wonderful hosts too. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants seclusion, peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

I love camping and Jaynes land is perfect for me the only downside was the neighbouring animals which they have every kind can be a little off putting especially the roosters. Everything else was just great.

We had a wonderful time at brazenhead. Jayne was a lovely and accommodating host she met us at the gate and showed us our spot/firepit. She also let us know where in the rivulet was deeper for great swimming. We had a fun time berry picking, swimming and playing on the large flat grass. Thankyou Jayne for the wonderful time.

Thank you so much for allowing us access to your beautiful property Jayne. Jayne was very welcoming and an excellent host to deal with. Location is perfect. We had site 6 and it looked to have the best shade aspect of all the sites in the afternoon. The creek was amazing, lots of frogs, yabbies and little fish. Plus great swimming holes for kids and adults alike. Fire pits were a stand out. Very functional and really well thought out. Perfect distance from bathurst to experience the countryside.

Beautiful spot. Peaceful location. We camped under the trees. Lots of shade and close to the river for a few quick dips. Easy to find. Close to town if needed. Great communication with Jayne.

We glamped in our caravan, the host Jayne met us at the gate was very welcoming drove us down to the area’s and showed us where the wombat hole was. Very informative and kind thank you for letting us stay. Was beautiful with wild life in the afternoon and early morning. Did get cold thank you for the heads up woke to ice on everything.

We had a great time camping at Brazenhead. This would be a good one for families or groups: huge flat open paddock to set up camp and kick the ball around, a creek to explore, 20 minutes to town to top up supplies, and a huge clear sky perfect for stargazing at night. There are some houses nearby (and a rooster) so if you are looking for total quiet and seclusion this is probably not for you, but it was no bother for us, camp was still private and peaceful. We’ll be back with the kids next time. Host is so lovely and easy to deal with!

Our first time camping without the basics (toilet & shower), but we made it & we had a fabulous time. Our fire never stopped & our laughs, our food & our drinking didn’t stop either. That's what it's all about.

Easter at Brazenhead!

Thank you so much to Jayne and her family for sharing their beautiful land with us. We had a lovely two days beside the Wiburndale Rivulet over Easter. Well tended camping spot with fire pits provided. Amazing night sky, fabulous wildlife (as well as one happy rooster) and very accessible from Sydney. Highly recommended!
