Our property is located on a 10-acre block on the banks of the Murray River. We are approximately 3km from the town centre but have a private and secluded feel with no close neighbours. A peaceful base camp to retreat back to after exploring the region. Nestled on the river bank, among the gum trees and pines, are beautiful shady, camping spots, welcoming self-contained campers, with plenty of room for you to set up comfortably. A stone's throw from camp you'll find a great place to fish for Murray Cod and crays, a spot from which to launch your canoes or paddle boards, the bank is quite steep and you can access using a ladder which is shown in photos. There is access to many wonderful cycling tracks and rail trails in the area. There is a corner shop within walking distance, and great cafes and restaurants close by. Corowa Chocolate and Whisky Factory Museum, Golf Club, RSL and cinema. With the wineries of Wahgunyah and Rutherglen just over the bridge! There are sunny and shady spots but sun cannot be guaranteed all day so please bring a generator or hire ours if you need extra power.Our campsites offer plenty of shade and are grassy, and level. We offer two spots, both on the river bank among the gum trees and grape vines. There's lots of room for your van and tents and plenty of shady or sunny spots. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go. Unfortunately, we do not host children for safety reasons due to close proximity to the river. A campfire is permitted in the designated fire pit, but only when conditions allow and there are no local fire bans in force. If unsure, please check with the host. BYO firewood.

Our campsites offer plenty of shade and are grassy, and level. We offer two spots, both on the river bank among the gum trees and grape vines. There's lots of room for your van and tents and plenty of shady or sunny spots. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go. Unfortunately, we do not host children for safety reasons due to close proximity to the river. Great spot on the Banks of the Murray. Plenty of shade, peaceful and felt like you were away from it all yet just a few minutes into town.

We loved camping at this property. It was peaceful and spacious and in a great location . If you have bikes it was perfect as so close to the bike trails. The directions were easy to follow and Ken, who was really friendly, came and greeted us.

We enjoyed the river views and privacy of the site. Ken and Lisa responded promptly to all messages and helped make our weekend stay a memorable one. The location link in Hipcamp took us to the wrong side of the river. Typing the address into maps worked perfectly.

What a great spot right by the Murray River. Ken greeted us on our arrival and was extremely welcoming and generous with information about the property, surrounding area and resources available. The spot enjoys wonderful sun in the afternoon and lovely grass underfoot. It’s quite a drop to the river and access is via a ladder (we didn’t end up going down). We really enjoyed our stay, easy drive to the surrounding wineries. The only thing we did find annoying, and not at all a reflection on this site, was the loud persistent dog barking on the other side of the river at the free camping in Vic! Would definitely come back for another stay.!

We loved our 2 night stay. It felt beautifully private and the area nicely mowed. We really enjoyed the close proximity to town, wineries and then the evening fire pit back at camp. We’ll be back…..

Lisa & Ken’s Riverview campsite was perfectly positioned to base ourselves for exploring the Rutherglen wine region. So peaceful and private with absolute river frontage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Purchased a large wheelbarrow of nice dry red gum wood that Ken personally delivered. He had even added enough kindling for the 2 nights that we stayed which was very much appreciated. So relaxing sitting high up on the river bank gazing at the water below. Couldn’t believe how beautiful the Murray looked. On the weekend we stayed we had the place all to ourselves. Clear communication and easy to follow instructions from the hosts made finding the location easy. Highly recommend this Hipcamp!

Beautiful spot, friendly hosts

Ken and Lisa were super accommodating for our 7 night stay at their beautiful property on the banks of the Murray. It was a perfect spot to set up camp while we explored the Victorian High Country and surrounds. The public camping area opposite the property was a bit noisy, however that is to be expected for the week between Christmas and New Year! Otherwise, the spot was peaceful and private, even when the other site had campers. Ken gave us access to town water and a rubbish bin which were both very handy, as any camper would understand 😊 We would definitely stay here again!

Riverview Campsites on the Murray
My partner and I loved camping at this location. It was very private (but also very close to town), tucked away right on the banks of the Murray River. The site was large (and with only two campers permitted on the site at any time, it meant lots of privacy and peace and quiet). The sites were well maintained, grassy with great shade trees.

This one is a little hard. The location is amazing and privacy is as promised. The but is, that this camp site hasn’t seen a lot of love for some time. The grass was overgrown and access to the river is extremely limited. There is a ladder that would be at least 2 meters long down a steep bank and that only gets you half way down.

Nice location well prepared site, clean and tidy. Would recommend. It was nice to get there and it had been freshly mowed and the logs that we requested ready. Lisa and Ken sent messages to us that the site was ready and we were not disappointed.

The camp site is located on the banks of the Murray River. It is a pretty, quiet and shaded location. Lovely outlook but you cannot access the river. I stayed recently with an off-grid caravan and because the site is shaded for most of the day I was unable to recharge my batteries. I suggest if you do choose to stay on this site with an off-grid caravan bring a generator with you.

We had a fantastic 2 nights by the river enjoying spectacular sunsets and amazing wildlife - we were lucky enough to see a platypus directly below our campsite- he was completely unfazed by our presence and swam around in front of us for a good half hour. The bird life is prolific too! Our hosts Ken and Lisa were so helpful, Ken even lent us a bike so my husband could come on a bike ride with me. The bike riding by the way is excellent around Corowa, lots of easy level riverbank paths. I would highly recommend 🙂

Greeted on arrival and was allowed to choose where to set up, shaded or full sun. A beautiful, grassy site literally right on the rivers edge, up high on the bank. No river access which didn't bother us at all, we were happy to sit and watch the boats and paddlers pass us by. Plenty of bird life enjoying the grape vines to the rear of the van during the day and sugar gliders showing off in the evening! A fabulous spot which we will certainly be returning to - thanks Ken 😊

Perfect site on the banks of the Murray River. We had a very relaxing time. The amount of different birds and at night the sugar gliders were amazing. Campfire under the stars each night. Short walk or drive into Corowa with plenty of cafes and restaurants. Thanks to Lisa and Ken for your hospitality.

If privacy and exclusivity with riverfront positioning is what you're after, see the pic... then Lisa's place will be ideal. The spot offered plenty of sun for solar recharging, lovely green grass right up to the bank, with grape vines behind the van.
