EarthSea

1 site ¡ Lodging6 acres ¡ Lot 67, PE
On the edge of the Devil’s Punchbowl in Prince Edward Island, EarthSea is a place focused on living simple, happy and healthy. The property is on the Beaverbrook with a small pond on the north side and throughout the rest of the land there is a magical spruce grove to walk about. Inspired by the fantasy saga “EarthSea” by Ursula LeGuin, this 6 acre property was bought with the intention to live differently. The intention of being close with oneself, with those you love and those you live life with. EarthSea is about the magic within ourselves, our relationships with others and our connection to nature. Off grid, creative design, affordable function and self reliance lay at the heart of what is happening here. I chose to change lifestyles after becoming burnt by average daily grind. For me, going slower, staying closer, and living simply is healing and feels like a healthier way forward. I live on the EarthSea land on “The Homestead” in a shipping container home with my little family. Together we are building EarthSea to be a place for people to try living in alternate ways and learn about offgrid and solar powered living. I invite people to ask questions and learn more by seeing someone who is doing it and how! It is also about the magic of nature and the power of walking barefoot in the grass. It is about being aware of how much water I am consuming and generating my own power. Cultivating as much of my food as I can, and recycling and using what I have first before jumping to the box store. Come rest yourself, you deserve it. What an intense ride this life can be! EarthSea currently has one rentable unit - The Yurt with tenting sites not far behind. The big dream is to create multiple unique units for people to consider as housing possibilities.Learn more about this land:An authentic Mongolian Yurt nestled on the edge of The Devil's Punchbowl in Epekwitk/Prince Edward Island. Many walking trails, including the trails in The Devil's Punchbowl, are in the area and the Cavendish Beach National Park is just a 10-minute drive. EarthSea is a 6-acre wooded property on the edge of the Beaverbrook. Many animals are about and every morning greets you with a symphony of birds. Sunsets and campfires to end the day paired with sleeping under the open tono (centre of roof) is truly a recipe for romance. Walking into the 16ft. diameter, the yurt is like walking into a love-filled embrace. The yurt was handcrafted from natural material in Mongolia., with songs of peace and love sung into each painted design. If you are looking for a unique change of pace, this off-grid stay will help re-ground you. I live at the other end of the EarthSea property in an off-grid tiny home with my small family. When possible I love to share my lifestyle, living small, off-grid, and in an alternative way to those who are interested in knowing more. We provide 69 L of potable water at a time. You are encouraged to watch your consumption, but refills are available at my well. The yurt accommodates two people but 4 more people are welcome to put tents up on-site for an extra 20 dollars per person. Multiple night discounts are available
