My hosts were warm, inviting, and gracious. Being a solo traveler can be scary sometimes but they made me feel right at home. Inviting me to their bonfire as well as offering to let me borrow their kayak plus a drive up the River. I cannot say enough good things about them. The wigwam itself was a unique experience and was very temperature controlled with a fan and comfortable beds. Be sure to bring your own pillows. I will definitely be back and with friends next time!

Stayed one night as a stopover on the way north. Site was easy to find, spacious, and had a great view of the lake. Just make sure to bring lots of bug spray, the mosquitos are brutal.

Amazing campsite. Very clean and well maintained. Cute campstore and the best shower I’ve had while camping. Highly recommend!

3 nights at Boondock Ridge

We had so much fun playing on the big lawn, going up and down the sandy bottom river, and enjoying the spectacular views. We hope to come again.

The location is incredible with wonderful sunset views! Our kids enjoyed playing and we made a day trip out of Houghton lake shops and restaurants. The fire pit was great and very friendly and responsive owners. Thank you!

The place was very nice and exactly as described! I wish there was a little less road noise, as it’s pretty loud with all the cars passing and the roadside park being right across the street. Other then that the dock and amenities provided was excellent.

My son and I loved the Site. So peaceful! Great fishing, excellent Host, Dog loved playing in the river and we did to. Great place to unwind and decompress and reconnect with with the Lord . Thank you for sharing your property!

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The area down by the river is like a private paradise. We had a great time - next time I will bring some water shoes for walking in the river. The owners are incredibly responsive and very welcoming. We camped at the top of the hill which is on a paved road but there was very little traffic. I highly recommend booking a stay at one of Megan’s sites.

Cute spot! It was a bit confusing to find at first but once I was settled I enjoyed my time. Some of the reviews had me nervous because I’m fairly picky when it comes to wanting an “in nature” experience- though you are fairly close to a road and not completely secluded in the middle of the woods, I thought the campsite itself still felt nice and private and gave me the woodsy feel. Unfortunately I can’t speak on the lake access.. I ended up spending the day in Tawas Point State Park. Anyway I thought it was a good spot 👍

We love staying here. It’s very kid friendly and the hosts are beyond warm and welcoming. This place is beyond accommodating and really comfortable. This was our second year and we plan to come every year!

I loved the spot for the campsite. We could get into the site with our suburban. The walk to the beach did feel like walking through someone's back yard but it was a public road. We would definitely come back for the views!

I recently stayed at this private campsite, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Tucked away from the noise and crowds, this spot offered the kind of quiet that’s hard to find these days. The site was clean, well-maintained, and had just the right balance of rustic charm and comfort. We had a fire pit, picnic tables, water, electricity and even access to a clean toilet. The host was welcoming and respectful of our privacy, which made the stay even better.
