It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". We are across the street from Little Long lake and right up the road from Budd Lake public boat launches. We have deeded lake access to Little Long Lake with use of our paddle boat and kayaks. We can provide parking with a boat, trailer, etc., but will need to be arranged prior to check-in.
There are several restaurants, delivery options, and a grocery store right down the road. There is also a putt putt golf, skiing and snow tubing at Snow Snake, arcade, batting cages, bowling, indoor golf, ax throwing, beaches and Wilson State Park.
If you have side-by-sides, quads, jeeps, snowmobiles, or dirt bikes, there are endless options with groomed trails in the area for you to ride all day long.
Our property has two cabins on property, the Harrison Hideaway cabin and Wanderer's Hideaway that can be rented together for larger groups or rented separately. Please message me if you would like to rent both cabins for you and your guests.

* It’s unique to find beehive air therapy & bee beds in North America and we are happy to offer this right here in Michigan. Located in a rural setting, nestled between the Canadian and Chippewa Lakes, countless other bodies of water, state forests, Amish communities and farms. Relax in this serene honeybee cabin, being very close to, yet separated from the bees by metal screens in the bee bed air vents. Observe the activity in the apiary and woodlands through a large window. Meditate, listen to or play music, or allow yourself to drift off to sleep.
* The environment inside a beehive is one of the most clean and healthy spaces found in nature. It is anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and full of negative ions. The bee hive air permeates up through metal screen covered holes in the beds into the cabin filling it with wonderful fragrance. There are four colonies in each bed with populations averaging 240,000 bees per bed. The hum can be mesmerizing and creates a micro massage that can be healing in itself. The colony health is kept optimal and we plant an abundance of medicinal plants in our gardens for the bees to create the most beneficial quality of air inside the cabin. Located in a rural setting, nestled between the Canadian and Chippewa Lakes, countless other bodies of water, state forests, Amish communities and farms. Relax in this serene honeybee cabin, being very close to, yet separated from the bees by metal screens in the bee bed air vents. Observe the activity in the apiary and woodlands through a large window. Meditate, listen to or play music, or allow yourself to drift off to sleep.
* The environment inside a beehive is one of the most clean and healthy spaces found in nature. It is anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and full of negative ions. The bee hive air permeates up through metal screen covered holes in the beds into the cabin filling it with wonderful fragrance. There are four colonies in each bed with populations averaging 240,000 bees per bed. The hum can be mesmerizing and creates a micro massage that can be healing in itself. The colony health is kept optimal and we plant an abundance of medicinal plants in our gardens for the bees to create the most beneficial quality of air inside the cabin. We also offer special breathing masks connected to a gentle forced air device that draws air through a tube from directly inside the hive for a more concentrated dosage of beehive air!

Beautiful setting, and a well-equipped rustic cabin! Jeremey was incredibly helpful answering our questions ahead of the trip, and made sure everything was ready for our arrival. The host go above and beyond for accommodating their guest. The cabin literally has everything that you need and all you have to bring is yourself and food! The lake is a short distance away and the water is clear and beautiful. We were able to enjoy lots of family time on the water and the cabin has tons of outdoor games to play as well and great outdoor seating even when it rains, it’s still beautiful highly recommend this cabin for your family, fun getaways even your fur babies. 3 nights at Twin Peaks By The Lakes Retreat
I did not personally stay in the Wanderer's Hideaway (I booked it in combination with Cindy and Travis's other property) but two of my friends slept there on our trip and said it was comfortable and worked well for their needs. The firepit area is lovely and relaxing in a hammock among the trees to read was so nice (plenty of space to add extra hammocks as well). Lots of room for parking (especially if you're also renting the larger cabin that backs right up to this one) and their dog did very well inside.

I rented both this property and Cindy and Travis's other listing, the Wanderer's Hideaway, for a group trip with friends. It worked out super well, with the two sites backing up to each other and the spacious, fenced-in yard (perfect for our two dogs!) inbetween. We had plenty of space for group activities and meals outside, loved the inclusion of the paddle boat and kayaks, and everyone enjoyed sitting on the front and back porches throughout the weekend.
Would highly recommend a trip to the beach at Wilson State Park if you're wanting to swim - the lake access is more suited to just launching the small boats. Also just a warning that both staircases are a little precarious and that the only way to access the backyard from the house requires walking through the master bedroom (this wasn't clear from the photos).
However, if you're planning to spend almost all of your time outside in the backyard like we did, this an excellent spot! Cindy and Travis provided so many fun amenities - we kept finding more and more fun things in the shed to use.
Hosts were quick and easy to communicate with and provided lots of detailed directions so we had all the information we needed. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great time. The cabin was nice and had everything we needed. The large fenced in yard was perfect for my Dogs to run around. The boat launch was close and the beach at Wilson state park was nice to hang out at during the day and use our wave runners. The only thing I would change is to add a gate near the side entrance of the house. The only way to the back yard is through the master bedroom or you have to walk down the stairs and around the house to gate.

We loved hanging out by and in the river all day. Our goal for the stay was to enjoy being outside by the water with the dogs. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the environment without having to be bothered by other folks and their unleashed dogs. We enjoyed playing on the kayaks as well. The beauty and sounds of nature was a perfect backdrop of the disconnect from the world. There was ample shade by the sandy beach to allow for relaxing. The river bed was sandy and not mucky. We saw lots of birds and a baby water snake. The outhouse was clean and setup for your comfort. The cabin was too warm to hang out in during the day but why would you when outside was perfect. Inside the cabin was clean and free from pests. We had brought our Jackery generator which allowed us to recharge the batteries of our shop fans. It may be too warm in the summer without a fan or two in you while sleeping. We had a great time and look forward to staying in the fall where it’s warm during the day and cooler at night.

This place is incredible! River out front is deep enough to swim and fish in, there’s lot of kayaks and canoes to take up river, lots of sleeping space, very secluded, nice deck, and even a sauna!
