Fantastic spot and really close to Perth. This was my first Hipcamp stay and Tracey was really helpful and made the experience smooth. The sunset was stunning and we were lucky enough to get a very still, clear evening. A few of the ‘tree top campout’ spaces are a bit slope-y in places but small wheel ramps will work if you care about level vehicles. There are definitely flat sites in that space too so don’t stress.

1 night at Everything Horses Ltd

I celebrated my 25th Birthday with a one-night stay at Everything Horses Hilltop Haven, and it was everything I hoped for—peaceful, heartfelt, and memorable. Sleeping near the horses in the paddock was a magical experience. They were calm, gentle, and it felt grounding just being near them. Watching the sunset over the eucalyptus filled skyline was a highlight—quiet, beautiful, and serene. What truly made the stay special was our host, Dayle. He was incredibly warm and genuine, a real salt-of-the-earth kind of person. He even let us use some leftover firewood from the last guests—which was the only kind gesture he offered :) You can tell he truly cares. The location is great—an easy trip from Perth and right in the heart of the Swan Valley. We visited the House of Honey the next morning which topped off the trip perfectly. Only minor downside: a few planes passed overhead in the evening, briefly interrupting the bushland quiet, but it didn’t take away from the overall charm. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely stay at Rose’s Reserve. The site is peaceful and quiet and gave the opportunity to spend some time in nature, so was a great break from the city. I took the option of buying some farm fresh eggs too for my breakfast which was a treat. The hosts keep it clean and neat and were very welcoming.

We loved our weekend away at Dougys Den. It was the perfect location and the campsite was so calming with the creek running through. Graeme was very welcoming and made sure that we were comfortable. If you are wanting peace, quiet and no phone reception then this campsite is for you. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place our family and friends.

5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking. We look forward to welcoming you to Everything Horses ltd where you can enjoy one of the last pockets of peace left in the Swan Valley area. A great property to reconnect with country Please note, to get to the campsites there is a farm track and for most, a creek crossing. We recommend 4WD or SUV to access ALL campsites. There are horses and Scottish Highland cattle that usually greet you near the main entrance, and sheep and cattle graze the hill country and surrounds. Plenty more for nature lovers here, including red-tailed cockatoos that flock to the gully to feed on the Marri trees, plus many other birds. The resident Wedge-tail eagles soar above making the most of the thermals created from the hills and the local kangaroos Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm. You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you. Harmony Retreat

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens, a mischievous mini pig named Peppa (who loves pats), sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. Older children will need to be supervised. Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times. There are no cooking facilities available for guests at present (this could change in the next couple of months as Troy is notorious for making stuff happen lol... so when it does we'll update the information). Therefore you will need to be completely self-sufficient including washing up bucket, cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). You can pitch your tent or park your camper and share your paddock with our three pet sheep, goat and alpaca (or they can move out for the night if you prefer). There are also many regular visiting kangaroos. Enjoy the tranquillity of our forest and relax by your campfire as you are surrounded by nature and magnificent trees. A 10-minute stroll through the forest will take you into town to visit numerous cafes, gift shops, pub, etc.

If your self contained, great,,, but we do provide toilet, shower, kitchen and TV room within our on site "granny Flat" for guests use... We also offer a 4 berth Avida Motorhome with all mod-cons parked in our paddock ( P O A ) One shortfall is we can't accommodate large, or long, rigs due to the volume of trees which limits maneuverability... We are a 45min drive south of Perth and just 5min from downtown Mandurah with all it's holiday highlights... and if driving's not your thing we can pick you up from the Mandurah train station...
