5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse!
A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured.
There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities.
Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area.
Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group.
We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses.
The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance.
Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking.

We live on a picturesque 400 acre property, high in the Darling Range an hour north of Perth. The property overlooks Lake Chittering with sweeping views to the horizon.
The native bush here is typical of the Darling Ranges, featuring

(We have widened the exit from the back paddock so please take the corner wide to line up on the drive over .)

Beautiful bush setting would be lovely in the cooler months with a fire. Chittering Areas is a lovely peaceful place with very private designated camp sites. Highly recommend a visit. There were kangaroo ticks at the site I was at, understandably there are families of kangaroos every day around, so daily body checks if there in the summer months are the go. All part of the bush experience. Loved my time there. Andrew is a great guy always there if you need him.

Andrew has been a great host, even with my late arrival. Very good with replies and very informative instructions to get there. I love the relaxed check out times, allows us to enjoy the mornings without the rush to pack and leave. Ridgeview north, is an awesome spot. Nice wide open space, nice flat ground that you can actually drive a peg in. Definitely will be back

Paddock was freshly cut which was great with small dogs and worrying about snakes. Mark is very welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dale’s due to: welcoming host; being immersed with well cared for and respected domestic animals (horses, sheep, dogs): reflected in their calm nature; limited number of campers; natural shading by established trees; basic but adequate bathroom facilities; central location -access to Swan Valley attractions, shopping, highways, public transport, Whiteman Park (great for families as has free waterpark, playgrounds, basketball courts, tram rides (free for 2025), train rides, museums, cafe, large shaded lawns, natural bushland with native animals, cycling and walking paths and trails). Whilst there is some airtraffic noise at peak morning and evening times, this didn’t impact negatively on our stay; night air cooled; stars shone brightly; minimal ambient noise all made for 3 very restful nights stay. We would not hesitate to stay again.

The site was flat and I setup in the shade of a nearby tree, the dogs were very friendly and had a couple of visits from the horses.
Having the toilet nearby was a bonus.

Mark is a gem of a host and they have a great piece of the world. Like the other posts have said, it's a great spot to try out of grid camping in your new rig. I just came for the peace and quiet and will definately come back. Site 1 is the biggest and 2 and 7 are fairly level.

Very peaceful and easy. Dale was great, our dogs loved Rolex and muffin, Dales dogs. If you’re after a relaxing no frills get away this is for you. Horses very friendly as well.
