5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property. You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views. It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace. The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks. The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past). Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property. There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). The campsite is located at the back of the 5 acres property on solid ground. The area surrounding the campsite is farm land but beyond the fence is 4000 hectares of native bushland. Plenty of areas for bushwalking or photography. The property is home to the WA Birds of Prey Rehabilitation and educational centre. The Swan Valley is only a short drive when you can experience local wines and produce. Campers must be either self sufficient with their own camping toilet and take all waste with them on departure when located at the back of the property. Alternatively, at the front of the property, toilets and bins are available. Campfires are only permitted at certain times of the year, please check with your host before lighting a fire. We really enjoyed our stay at Dale’s due to: welcoming host; being immersed with well cared for and respected domestic animals (horses, sheep, dogs): reflected in their calm nature; limited number of campers; natural shading by established trees; basic but adequate bathroom facilities; central location -access to Swan Valley attractions, shopping, highways, public transport, Whiteman Park (great for families as has free waterpark, playgrounds, basketball courts, tram rides (free for 2025), train rides, museums, cafe, large shaded lawns, natural bushland with native animals, cycling and walking paths and trails). Whilst there is some airtraffic noise at peak morning and evening times, this didn’t impact negatively on our stay; night air cooled; stars shone brightly; minimal ambient noise all made for 3 very restful nights stay. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Great spot, plenty of shady tree cover and a large sized site situated next to a swimming dam. Nice campfire and not too far from toilets and shower. The hot showers under the stars were great to have. Owners seemed to take pride in the place and what they're offering. We would go back again for the peace and quiet and the option to cool down with a dam swim or warm up with a shower. Thank you to the hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our two nights and so did our doggo. :)

We stayed on lakeside camp 3. It is exactly as in the photo. We sat there with drinks both mornings to listen to the life on the lake. So many birds and a pair of Whistling kites living in one of the trees. Paul was a very friendly host. There are about a dozen free range chooks wandering about and they generally just hung out with us. We also wandered down to the wetland area to spot more birdlife. Was a lovely peaceful stay. The camp site is flat and large with a firepit provided during camp fire season. Would definitely recommend.
