This campsite is designed for people wanting a quiet, eco-friendly stay.
Just five kilometers outside of Margaret River, we welcome campers to come and experience the magic of Fair Harvest. The gardens and farm of Fair Harvest were established in 1995 and have matured into an extensive Permaculture demonstration system. In 2022, we were proudly awarded the nationally-recognised Eco Certification for Ecotourism camper amenities include 2 showers ( on timer as we have limited rainwater), 2composting toilets, and an outdoor kitchen built from timber harvested onsite. We are dedicated to creating a more sustainable lifestyle and sharing our beautiful farm with others. As a permaculture farm recycling is a huge part of our culture so please read our detailed guidelines to waste management for campers.
The farm features extensive food gardens , a beautiful Yoga Barn, and a farm and forest walks. Our campground is close to town, bush walks and cycle trails. Enjoy eco-friendly amenities and a great vibe, a place to retreat in a beautiful part of the world. Visit the animals, discover our veggie garden and observe the many birds part of our ecosystem.
Due to farm commitments, events, courses and retreats, the campground is open to the public only certain times of the year.
Open everyday during holidays and long weekend.
Open Wednesday to Sunday outside holidays
Closed from mid june till mid September
We have limited space for caravans, RVs and camper trailers. Please message us first to make sure we still have space.

Fair Harvest Retreat Rules
1 - CHECK IN is between 2 and 6 pm, for late arrivals let us know your ETA. CHECK OUT by 10 am
2 - ON ARRIVAL, stop at the self check-in area. Register your details.
Find your name and camp site number on the whiteboard. Grab a map and set up your camp.
3 - KIDS should always be accompanied beyond the immediate campground.
4 - Enjoy a SHORT WALK around the gardens.
We kindly ask you to keep the gates closed and not to pick the food.
FARM WALK, follow the walk trail sign around our forest about 30/40 min..
5 - DOGS should be on a lead at all time, we do have 1 designated paddock (not fenced)
where you can have your dog off leads, please ask us.
Our 2 farm dogs are free to walk around the farm and are really friendly.

Max - Tan x kelpie , love to chase Jimmy.
Please make sure your bins and food are out of reach.
6 - FIRE - you are welcome to light the communal fire (firewood provided)
this is the only fire allowed on site.
Please check current fire Ban info with us. usually from December till March
WATER - the campground run with rain water only, we are limited please used it wisely.
7 - WASTE & RECYCLING - SO IMPORTANT!
We are doing our best to provide a great recycling model. PLEASE help us ….
All food even meat should be given to the chickens (bin in the kitchen)
There is a 10C refund bin (this goes to charity)
A recycling bin at the front gate.
A general waste bin at the front gate.
We do not accept mixed rubbish in our bin, so if you don't separate take them away with you.
We will be more than happy to explain and help you with your waste.
8 - QUIET time from 9pm - please be mindful of others campers - no parties or late music.
No generators.
9 - VISITORS between 9 - 4 and please ask them to park in the general carpark
10 - We are a SMOKE FREE farm.

Good to plan your days instead of going one way and coming back, relax in the bush and spot native wildlife.
Sometimes we get Roos cruising through our bush as the neighbourhood like to feed them.
The property is the first right just off the Bussellton Highway, the sound of the highway isn’t as bad as expected, the highway goes through a man made valley/gully and we are on a hill.
There are no facilities here, campers need to be self sufficient.
Strictly no fires. Fire ban is in affect.
Please take all rubbish even if there is an accident, respect other people’s privacy try create space for others to come and enjoy the same way you have.
If your vehicle fits in the bush we would prefer you to camp there as opposed to the open paddock. With a red cone near the gate please stay to the right

We offer a quiet retreat 5kms up Sandhills Road with a winter brook and peaceful meadows on a country farm set in the beautiful Brookhampton Valley 9kms from Donnybrook and close to many local attractions and wineries with the towns of Bunbury ,Donnybrook,Balingup,Bridgetown and Collie within a pleasant afternoons drive plus the Bibbulum trails are easily accessed.
It’s peaceful with plenty of space for winding down. You can see the redtail cockatoos that visit us in December plus a nature walk to wander along (ask for details )
The Hipcamp is located away from the main house so is private. There is an
artists studio on the property with the main woodfired salt glazing pottery kiln being fired once or twice a year. We welcome visitors to the studio so if you would like a visit just ask us
We often have our own eggs, honey, fruit and farm produce for sale.
There is grey water available for topping your tanks up
There are brochures in the studio for more information on the local attractions.
We do have some rules to follow :

There is a dump site for portable toilets at 20 Reserve Street Donnybrook. Greywater can be released onto the paddock.

All camping must be undertaken in the designated camping area
There is a 10pm curfew - no arrivals to the Camp will be allowed after dark so if you cannot arrive before dark please book for the next day.
Entry to the property is via a farm gate which must be opened and shut behind you

Drive all the way to the end of the gravel drive go past the main house gate (a large wooden gate) keep going down the track to the farm gate -open and shut it behind you always -line up straight to the bridge and drive straight across it and into the hipcamp
We have camping available during the music festival at Newlands in the New Year Brookhampton Blues in February -Easter for the Donnybrook Apple Festival - the TOMR bike race at the end of October and the Medieval Festival in Balingup as well as available throughout the year depending on the weather

Brookhampton Valley Farm Stay is an amazing place to stay. Close to Donnybrook and so many other amazing country towns. Also close to Busselton and some great wineries.
The farm is peaceful with a great walk, some seasonal fruit picking, fresh eggs, friendly animals and very friendly hosts.
Have a look around Marilyn's pottery studio for so great pottery work and some excellent information about the local area and the home made pottery.
I can highly recommend this great little hipcamp spot and the hosts Murray and Marilyn are extremely helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful time camping here with Murray and Marilyn!!! Such a nice area and such lovely hosts. There is loads of space to camp, with lots of animals such as horse and goats to wander round to see. The location is ideal as it is quiet and peaceful but not too far removed from the local towns of Nannup and Greenbushes. 10/10 stay!!!!

Sensational farm stay with wonderful, helpful hosts Murray and Maz.
Their grounds are level and very well looked after, a yummy fruit orchard you can pick yourself for a gold coin donation and a brand new toilet facility. Maz has a beautiful pottery studio were you can have lessons or buy the creations or fresh eggs, honey

Just stayed the one night but would recommend, nice private camp spot around the back of their property. Hosts were very helpful!! Our much needed porta potti was missing a part and John helped create a makeshift piece that has saved us a lot of trouble!

We had an absolutely great stay. The location is perfect, close to beautiful beaches, amazing vineyards, and everything this area has to offer. It really felt like the best base to explore the region.
John and Brenda are truly beautiful hosts and couldn’t do enough for you. From the moment we arrived they made us feel so welcome, offering loads of great suggestions on places to go and things to do, and always happy to help with anything at all.
A peaceful, well located stay with hosts who genuinely care, we loved it and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had a fantastic stay here. Amenities were great and the kids were entertained by the animals and we all enjoyed the trail around the property. A big open paddock for our dog to run free. A quick drive to town but far enough that you're out of the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at the tiny house which had everything we needed even though we brought some of our camping stuff too. The bed has very comfortable and it was super cosy at night.
A lot more room than expected!
The farm and the facilities are beautiful and we would come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Fair Harvest Retreat — it was exactly what we needed for our time in Margaret River! We stayed for a week over the end‑of‑year holidays and it couldn’t have been better. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and immaculately maintained, with such a warm, homey feel. The kitchen and amenities were spotless and inviting, with plenty of hot water.
Having the café right on site was such a bonus — the food was fantastic and so convenient, making it easy to relax and really enjoy the place without having to go anywhere for breakfast. It was the perfect spot to unwind, and we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend!
