Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities) Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

Turning off from the gravel road, travel through the trees to paddocks ready for camping. In the morning the magpies and cockatoos herald a new day, in the evening the frog calls are loud and kangaroos often graze or go to the dam for a drink. The space is open for a few weeks each year, with focus on awareness groups for forest protection.

We loved the location, only 2km from town, the bird life was incredible including the emus roaming nearby and the resident Alpacas who were forever curious of what we were up to. We only had 3 nights but left so relaxed as if we had a week at your farm, thank you for your welcoming hospitality 🙏😊👍

Absolutely awesome little spot up on the ridge overlooking some of the best scenery I've seen for a bush camp. The sunset was pretty speccy and it was nice we were able to pull up a chair around the fire and soak it all in. Our dog had a blast too so definitely recommend bringing them along. Here’s a refined, polished version of your updated review, keeping your voice and enthusiasm: ⸻ A beautiful spot! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property is close to the dam. The weather was a bit too chilly for swimming, but that didn’t stop our furry friend from jumping in and having an absolute ball! There’s also a paddleboard and a rope swing available for use. Our furry friend loved having plenty of open space to explore. The National Forest is nearby, so it’s best to keep dogs on a lead in that area due to baiting — but there are no baits on Shukuru Farm itself. Being a farm, there were a few flies, but nothing a fly net couldn’t fix. The wind was strong during our stay, so most of them were blown away anyway. The fire pits were a lovely bonus, and the starry skies at night were absolutely stunning. Such a relaxing, peaceful stay — I would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a long drive and arrived late but Denise and Andrew were so welcoming. The campground was so clean and all the facilities were perfect. The river dicks are right there and it's layed out very well. Being able to feed the kangaroos was a highlight for my daughter. I highly recommend this spot. Ryan from Toronto, Canada

I’ve done a lap and a half of this country and this is one of my fav caravan parks. Spacious sites, on the river, great amenities, heaps of friendly wildlife, you can literally give a kangaroo and it’s Joey pat while the Joey is on the pouch. The bird mafia of ducks, parrots, magpies and kookaburras will raid you though so keep on eye on those sneaky little buggers. Staff were awesome. Recommend getting a powered site they are bigger and provide more sun if you need solar. Unpowered section is nice but under trees and pretty intimate with your neighbors.

Weekend Trip to Amber Ridge Estate

My wife and I loved our weekend at the Amber Ridge Estate, staying at the Valley Vista ground. Was very secluded, private, quiet, and relaxing. Nestled a the top of the grounds, at the back, we didn't see anyone all weekend once we went through the gate. Could birdwatch, listen to the kangaroos in the state forest, and play with our dog in the field. Weather was wet, windy, sunny - all 4 seasons in one day, but that is Donnybrook and the south-west. Mick greeted us as we entered and gave us a folder of things to do in the area, which was very much appreciated. Great little spot to get away for some off grid.

Best camping experience we ever had in Western Australia. We were a group of 5 motorcycle riders from Perth and did a 3 day, 2 night stay in the park. It was an epic motocamping experience for the whole trip. The best part of it was the host and staff namely Denise and Michelle were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Friendliest staff I had ever met. Their smiles will make your stay a memorable one. The park itself is an excellent place to do camping with families, friends, workmates and riding buddies. Facilities is top notch and clean. Love the animals around the park as well. 5 star for our motocamping experience.
