- The river and dam are deep and unfenced. Constant supervision of children by their parents or guardians while on the property is mandatory to ensure safety around water.

A working small hobby farm in its fledgling stages with friendly cows who love all sorts of food . Alpacas ,kangaroos,emus and lots of black cockatoos if lucky enough you can even find red tail cockatoo feathers around the place . We have a brook that flows 10 months of the year with ponds during summer . 3 kms from the town of nannup it’s close if you forget something but away enough you don’t need to see people if you choose not to . The property is boarded by native bush but is still accessible from the main road . Plenty of walking trails and native flowers in spring .

Peaceful Pastures is set over 9.3 acres. The back 5 acres has a watercourse running through which wild ducks frequent. The front 4 acres has a shed in the centre and 3 caravan campsites. We welcome quiet and considerate campers, who are self-contained with their own facilities.
A self-contained fire pit is provided at each of the 3 campsites, for use outside the state fire ban that extends from Nov 1st to May 10th. Firewood may be available, but bringing your own is recommended.
There is a small water tank, with rainwater available at the tap. This is to be used minimally at times of no rain and not to be used for car or van washing.
There are a number of wild kangaroos and emus in the area, which can often be seen when driving along the road.
The property is located 2.2 km off the South-Western Highway along a quiet, sealed road. Close by is the Kirup Tavern which has well-priced meals, pool tables and dartboards.
It's a 15-minute drive from Donnybrook, with shops, restaurants, weekend markets and the Apple Fun Park, and 11 minutes from the tourist town of Balingup.
Guests are welcome to use the trampoline, but children must be supervised, as there is no safety enclosure fitted.

The name of this hipcamp really says it all! Such a peaceful place to stay! We had such a fantastic stay at Peaceful pastures! We visited with our 21.6" Van and the sites are huge, flat and easy to park. Great base for surrounding towns, we took a trip into Donnybrook for the kids to play at the Apple fun park and wish we had of stayed more than one night as we passed lots of great wineries and fruit stalls.

Very peaceful, nice views across the fields where emus were roaming! Two very sweet alpacas in the field next door. Good space between the 4 sites. 5 min drive into Nannup, where you can get phone signal as none at the site. No shade (Site 4), and we couldn't sit outside as so many flies (it's that time of year) but otherwise a great spot to camp and be able to explore the surrounding area.

We loved the location, only 2km from town, the bird life was incredible including the emus roaming nearby and the resident Alpacas who were forever curious of what we were up to. We only had 3 nights but left so relaxed as if we had a week at your farm, thank you for your welcoming hospitality 🙏😊👍

We stayed at Shikuru Site 1 and had an amazing experience. Fiona was incredibly kind and thoughtful — knowing we were travelling with a newborn, she left out a picnic rug and cushion for us, which we used throughout our stay. Such a simple gesture, but it made everything so much easier and more comfortable.
The property itself was fantastic — large, peaceful and clearly well cared for, with many areas mowed by a ride-on at some stage. It’s those small touches that really show how much attention goes into the place.
The whole family were extremely kind, generous and respectful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And the homemade apple crumble and other goodies they we purchased as extras were absolutely delicious.
Our dogs were allowed off-lead as long as they behaved, which we appreciated. One of ours got a bit too excited at times, but with a bit of common courtesy it was no issue at all.
Overall, Shikuru Site 1 was a beautiful, well-kept spot with genuinely thoughtful hosting. We’d happily stay again.

A beautiful spot! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property is close to the dam. The weather was a bit too chilly for swimming, but that didn’t stop our furry friend from jumping in and having an absolute ball! There’s also a paddleboard and a rope swing available for use.
Our furry friend loved having plenty of open space to explore. The National Forest is nearby, so it’s best to keep dogs on a lead in that area due to baiting — but there are no baits on Shukuru Farm itself.
Being a farm, there were a few flies, but nothing a fly net couldn’t fix. The wind was strong during our stay, so most of them were blown away anyway. The fire pits were a lovely bonus, and the starry skies at night were absolutely stunning.
Such a relaxing, peaceful stay — I would definitely recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at Shukuru’s farm! There was only one other site in view which was only occupied on the second night of our stay so it was quite peaceful having the place to ourselves for the first night! A few trees between the two sites would be great to make the sites completely private as this is something I look for when choosing a hipcamp. Communication from the host was great! The fire pit was an awesome addition & I can see the dam would be lots of fun once it gets a bit warmer!!

We stayed on Site 2. There was only us and Site 1 in the whole space which made it nice for some quiet family Time.
Huge space to park where you want close to the fire pit provided.
Son was a bit disappointed that he didnt catch a fish in the dam but there is Wellington Dam close by.
