Big sites, basic but spotless amenities (bathrooms, laundry, camp kitchen), no jumping pillow or pool but open space and a gorgeous small river as the boundary (“Little Yarra River”) - teeming with life (but too small for “swimming” or “tubing” - think lazing and picnics with a lovely backdrop.

My friend Emily and I had the best camping trip at Bayview Camping Jaswar’s Paradise!
The site was private, enclosed and had a beautiful view of the horses. John and Liz were kind, attentive and made us feel welcome - they happily helped transport us between the jetty and the general store, and even dropped off some much needed medication we’d forgotten. We were very lucky to meet their 130+ animals, pat the horses and pick some of their blackberries. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway not far from Melbourne.
This Hipcamp went well and truly above and beyond!

We had a perfect stay at Warburton Holiday Park. It is an excellent camp ground, with easy access to the river for a relaxing float downstream. The amenities were all clean and well equipped and the town & great old pub just a short drive away.

Site 16 at Frank’s Farm was a wonderful place to stay the long weekend at! The view was spectacular at every glance and the grounds were well kept with a firepit ready to go. Stephen and Cherry were very good hosts, very responsive and very responsible. I especially appreciated that they both took the time and effort to do a round of the campsite around 10pm to check in and make sure everyone’s fire was safe amidst the warmer daytime weather. The option of the portaloos nearby for a small fee was a good choice to have. The farm overall is just the right balance between personal privacy of your own and neighbouring sites! Would highly recommend Frank’s Farm and will definitely be back again to try another site on a different side of the farm!

We stayed at Frank’s Farm for one night and absolutely loved it. Super friendly hosts, easy to find, and an amazing site with plenty of space. The views are beautiful and there’s a real sense of freedom. Hard to believe you’re this close to Melbourne. Highly recommend.

It was a nice camp. We were site 1 and we enjoyed the view of the dam/lake and played on the boats and paddle boat there.
It was well maintained with fire pits provided. Which we chose not to use due to the very windy conditions.
Our hosts were welcoming.
Only slightly negative things but not huge.
You can hear some highway noise and train noise, not constantly though.
As it was very open I imagine it would be very hot if you didn’t have adequate shelter.
We would stay again, the location was good for us.

Had a lovely shady powered site. Park was very busy with nice families. Amenities are old but good shower pressure. Floor cleaning a little hit and miss. Nice pools. Overall liked the park and have booked for next year.

We had such a great time camping @ franks farm! The lake/pond to swim in was so lovely in the hot weather, it had an pump so was healthy to swim in and also row boats which were fun
the site itself is great - all sites felt quite private and you couldn’t hear other people too much.
Host was so lovely and accomodating and facilities were great, only 20 mins from Warragul so very convenient! Thankyou for hosting us, we will definitely be back! <3
