Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people).
Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here.
Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly.
Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite.
Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.****
We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites.
Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there.

The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive!
Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo.
8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. You can get petrol, take away, gas etc.

Set in the King Valley close to the foothills of the Wabonga Plateau Alpine National Park. We have the King River very close 5 min's by road , and are surrounded by magnificent wineries and bushland to wander around in.
Campers can choose from 3 different locations for their stay.
The camp is in or around Shelter Hut or
open grass land in your own Tent.
Campers will have access to two composting toilets during their stay but you will need to bring along your own toilet paper with you.
Please remove all rubbish on departure.
Campfires we sell firewood and dogs are welcome but dogs aren't allowed roam freely due to wildlife.

It’s the perfect spot to base yourself and explore our beautiful part of the world. Perfect for anyone who is into nature, birdwatching or bushwalking. Great for couples, families or small groups.
Ashlan is a working farm and we also have an array of wildlife visiting. The property is a birdwatcher's delight, with a variety of species making the property home. Unfortunately, as we are a working farm, the property is not pet friendly nor do we offer any animal experiences.
The property consists of three rooms and we ask that you advise your room requirements at booking. Rooms not required will be locked.
We live onsite (in a separate house) if you need any assistance. No shooting, motorbikes or 4x4 is permitted on the property.
You will need to bring your own supplies (food and drink) as the closest shop is 20 mins away. However feel free to go out for Friday night Fish and Chips from the Strathbogie Store, Euroa or Violet Town. Just watch out for wildlife on the roads. Access to the property is also via approx 2kms of unsealed road.
Ashlan Farm is 20 mins to Violet Town. Perfect if you wish to explore the Violet Town markets.
