Aireys inlet is a unique tiny town with so much to do. The local beach is iconic for surfing and swimming, the local creek is a favourite at the inlet for young kids to swim or for canoeists to have somewhere quiet to paddle. Mountain biking is a must in the area, with thousands of tracks available right outside the back door.
If you have your own horse you can bring it along on holiday with you, we have paddocks available and there are so many gorgeous tracks around to ride on and beach riding at low tide and the right times is a bucket list item!
The location itself is 17 acres and is next to the Painkallac creek in a peaceful bush setting. This location used to be a horse riding school which is now not running but has been converted to offer camping, caravan and RV parking. It’s only 1.5 km from the beach and the Otway national park is right on your doorstep. If you have bikes, horses or love to hike or run, or just laze on the beach, it’s a perfect location, be ready to be spoilt as there are so many tracks on offer in our stunning local beach and bush land.
The local town of aireys inlet has plenty to offer, a general store for all your essentials, loads of places to eat out for breakfast, lunch or dinner and only 1 3/4hrs from Melbourne.
No need to stress if you don’t want to be near anyone else, this is a small setting so it’s very private and its only got one space to rent so that you have peace and quiet. If you do have friends and want to book a double space please just message me and I can open up another space for you.
I also have an option to add a pottery class for you, the cost is $50 a person for a two hour session.

Green, tranquil and picturesque. Kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras and koalas often emerge from the rainforest of the Great Otway National Park near the campsites. You can swim or kayak in the unfenced dam, which is fed by a mountain spring on our 200-acre property. But please be aware that the unfenced dam is a drowning hazard for children, so we don't accept bookings that include children under 10 for public liability reasons.
We've limited the number of campsites to 2 in an area that could host 200! If you would like even more seclusion, then you are welcome to book both sites so you can talk, drink and play music as late as you like, without having to consider another group of campers. This is a totally different holiday experience to a crowded beach resort, caravan park or public camping ground. It's like a hideaway in the hills.
Each site has a flushing toilet (septic system).
Campfires are permitted outside the district-wide fire restrictions that apply from late November to early May. Fortunately, gas or electric barbecues and stoves are permitted all year round, unless specific days are declared as total fire ban days. Please note that wood-fired barbecues or burners, even if enclosed and fitted with a chimney, still present a spark/ember hazard so are not permitted across summer.
When campfires are permitted, guests can cut and gather their own wood from deadwood lying near the campsites or bring their own. Or you can buy sacks of cut and split firewood from your hosts on request. BYO newspaper and matches.
Camping trailers and campervans work better on the sites than large caravans or motorhomes, especially after heavy rain. The sites are on slight inclines, so levellers can be useful.
No pets please due to livestock in nearby paddocks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our camping experience in such a quiet and beautiful area. Euan was thoughtful, and communication throughout the journey was excellent.
We love animals and learning about farm life, and Euan gave us a fantastic farm tour, driving us around in the buggy. We learned about Belted Galloway cattle, goats, hay bale rolling, life in the farm, and heard Koala Kenny, and we also made friends with Maggie, the cutest dog!
We truly loved our stay and would absolutely come back to see Kenny again. Highly recommended for nature and animal lovers. The campsite is on a slope, but it’s very manageable. It’s my friend’s first camping experience, it’s really beautiful.

Every year we've got our friends as guests from overseas at Christmas time. We have booked this campsite for the second time already to show our friends the Australian wildlife. The site is not far from the Twelve Apostils, Ballarat Zoo, Great Ocean Road, spectacular waterfalls and Colac (for shops). Very comfortable to stay with tents (toilet is clean, rain water available), welcoming host and fresh eggs you can buy in the morning for breakfast. You can see curious kangaroos in the evening, listen to kookaburras and koalas at night. Very nice experience. Must visit.

I loved the camping experience here. The best part was the view—the spot right in front of the water dam was beautiful. The campsite was set up really well for campers, and the kayaking experience in the dam was amazing, especially since the kayaks were left there for campers to enjoy.
The kids had a great time. We were initially worried about toilets and water, but luckily there was a good toilet just two minutes away from the spot, so we didn’t have any issues during our stay. Overall, this is one of the best camping spots we’ve experienced so far.

We absolutely adore Kylie’s camping spot, stunning location in the trees and totally secluded despite being so close to Lorne. Lots of space to find a flat spot, incredible bird life all around, cosy fireplace and amazing loo facilities overlooking the forest. It’s a firm favourite highly recommend!

Beautiful location, few minutes drive to beach, beautiful walk to beach though with a 2 yo was a bit far on our walk back, overall was quite, great space between camps, my dogs loved the green grass and enjoyed christmas trees on christmas morning. St leonards beach front 5 mins drive, portarlington beach front 5 mins also. Very beautiful spot close to everything.

Damian and Ali are superb hosts. Damian and Ali are courteous as you are welcomed when you arrive. They are also very respectful that you are left alone. The camping area is great. Damian makes sure the grassed areas are perfect. You are 500 meters walking distance from the beach. You can watch the amazing Pelicans or watch the Spirit of Tasmania zoom across the waters. The camping area is tranquil and there is a lot of different bird activity above. We normally go to remote outback but our two cavoodles are not a fan of doing that. We can honestly say that our dogs loved this type of camping. You are just a car ride from shops, cafes and pubs. I would highly recommend staying here. We stayed 4 nights and we could have stayed longer but we had to get home to family for Christmas.

Damiens’ Hipcamp stay was nothing short of magical! The location is great—peaceful, beautiful, and just a short distance from the beach, making it easy to enjoy ocean breezes and stunning sunsets. One of the highlights was definitely the miniature horses and goats—they are incredibly sweet and added such a unique, joyful touch to the experience.
The host truly made the stay exceptional. They were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. From helpful local tips to thoughtful check-ins, their hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with coastal vibes, charming animals, and an amazing host, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!
