The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running.
Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking
Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in. We loved tent camping at Clancy Springs. As beginner campers it was well within our skills and knowledge. It was great to have a toilet, shower and kitchen on hand. The campsite was spacious with a lovely oak tree right on our doorstep & cow’s in the paddock next door.

Lovely spot with great views and peaceful surrounds, large sites so you have some options of how/where you want to set up, open space or sheltered, etc. I only stayed a night midweek and had the place to myself, but even if there had been campers on the other sites, they were big enough for myself and 3 doggoes to spread out a bit and not be a bother, or feel too close, to anyone else. Great communication from hosts making sure I had no trouble finding the place, which I managed to do easily despite arriving after dark. Would definitely stay again. Thank you 🙏

We camped just after summer school holiday peak season and we had camp 3 too ourselves with lovely views of the bay and islands.
You do need to be completely self sufficient but if you are setup for that this is perfect camp.
Quite a lot of birdlife and plenty of wallaby's around.

Paddock location but good wind protection from the huge pine trees. Large area for each camp spot. Wayne was very nice, stopped for a chat each day. Fabulous location, away from towns and people and close to major attractions (Race track, Penguin Parade, winery etc)

Thank you Wayne & Deb for having us. Wayne was very helpful and accommodating. Lovely grassy site with plenty of room for an 18’8 van. Awesome location to explore Phillip Island. Potable water onsite which was really handy.
