Weekend Trip to Lakeside or Orchard Paddock Camping

Very lovely farm and wonderful hotsts. Even with our bad luck choosing the wetest week of the year we still highly enjoyed our stay! Very much appreciate the hot water bottles to keep us toasty warm at night.

Private site, no intrusion, welcoming host, all added to our experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. Flushing toilets a short stroll away were a bonus. The kids had fun running around and we even got on the boat and kayaks for a little while in the dam. The life jackets provided were very thoughtful, gave us peace of mind. We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful campsite! The location is stunning, with easy access and very clean, well-maintained sites. Rob and his wife are truly special hosts friendly, welcoming, and full of great energy. Their dogs, Max and Mali, are absolutely adorable and added such a warm, homey touch to our stay. We felt right at home and are already looking forward to coming back soon

Close to Melbourne, 10 mins from Tullermarine airport in a great setting. Perfect for a private tranquil getaway in great surroundings. Was absolutely perfect for our 2 dogs to roam around off leash as their first camping experience. Close to a river which would be great when flowing or in summer for swimming

Weekend Trip to Tonimbuk Farm

Upon arrival, we were met by Robert on a tractor who came to greet us with 3 friendly dogs in tow. There is a Welcome Sign with your names on it, therefore, directions are easy to see where you should be. There was even a campfire pit stocked up ready to go, along with a Starter Kit supplied. These things were a really lovely touch we thought. This spot is absolutely picturesque by the Dam and the pictures most definitely don't do it justice. It's a superb view to wake up to in the morning, sit by the sun in the day or by the campfire at night. After a chilly evening, we woke to a variety of birds singing in the morning, to the ducks frolicking in the water, even a platypus surfaced for a visit in front of the firepit to look at us. The whole experience was absolutely peaceful and relaxing. The Hosts are super friendly and go above and beyond what you'd normally see with Hosts, so that felt really special to us. We really look forward to returning with our two teens to go fishing in the Dam or to stay at the Creek Site to see how that one is. Thankyou Robert and Leanne. Bless!

Loved our stay at this hip camp site - the Platypus site was small and private with the best views of the water and the jetty. Jana was a great host, checked in on us to make sure we're settled in and if we needed anything. We felt very welcome. We didn't brave the kayaks as the weather is a bit cold, but looked like a lovely option for warmer weather. Campsite is a bit slopy but we found good options to pitch our 4 person tent. We loved our stay, we hope to be back in the summer to make full use of the lovely creek and the kayaks.

Great spot! It was very peaceful and heaps of space for the doggos to down and explore. Also a great spot for us to do small hikes too. Will definitely be back!

Great spot. Nice set up. Private and lovely. A little tricky to navigate your way to the site. Was hard to find a level spot for the caravan but made do. Bring your own firewood. Had a great stay and looking forward to going back.

We enjoyed the peaceful site next to the lake on the property. Jana kindly provided us with some firewood which was great. Very friendly host. We also enjoyed sitting by the water listening to and watching all the bird life.

6 nights at Lancefield Lake's A WETLANDS WONDER

A lot of effort has gone into developing the sites to be relatively private, with flat areas and great fire pits and lovely views. The lake has abundant bird life and fish and provides a serene backdrop. There is enough wild bush for some great walks around the property too. Nice clean bathroom is a bonus and only complaint is that it could do with a toilet separate to the shower, to avoid the longer wait when someone is washing. Will happily come back!

Granite Springs is a working farm running various farm animals and working horses. You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay(as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards) There are dams and a seasonal creek running through the property, providing many options for campsites and also fishing(catch and release) (Please note creek is seasonal and not suitable for swimming). Dogs permitted but must be well behaved and not chase livestock. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Drinking water available.
