Fantastic location, camping a few metres from the river, surrounded by wild life and some elusive marine life. Although less than 10 minutes to Noojee the location is quiet, surrounded by bush, and Keren and Mikey make you feel very welcome.

Anchor Belle is such a great place to stay. It is in a great location. The amenities at the property are really good and the staff are super friendly.

We loved our stay - we couldn’t believe how far away it felt yet so close to Melbourne. Truely a secret oasis. Great directions and communication from Michael. The gazebo and amenities were excellent. Loved the hammock too. Went for a swim and watched a beautiful sunset over the hills.

4 nights at Organic Farm & Riverside Camping

This Hipcamp has a lot of things going for it. It’s well maintained with mowed grass and mulch placed over any areas prone to mud. It’s peaceful and fairly private. The two sites are barely visible from one another due to some bushy trees between the two. We camped in the smaller of the 2 sites and we had ample space for 2 campers. We plan to come back here again in the future as it was such a beautiful place to stay. For bird lovers – the site is often visited daily by chatty kookaburras, crimson rosellas, eastern yellow robins, yellow-faced honey eaters and one inquisitive bassian thrush. Downsides – Nearest Telstra or Vodafone reception is 5-10 minute drive into town. Access to campsites via a 50m decent down a narrow bumpy dirt road which may be too challenging for large caravan rigs. Recommend checking with Keren before booking.

Stayed during the Easter long weekend. I loved the place n the host Grace was friendly n helpful. Learned quite a lot about horses 🐎 at her ranch. Clean toilets n shower giving you the comforts you need. There were about 14 campers in the campsite, but you had the privacy given that camping area is huge n had quite a distance from each other. Attended the Easter bf as well. Yea is only 15 km drive, n drove down to Broadford motor cycle track, to watch a track day.

We loved camping at Grace's place. She is a lovely host, checking on us everyday, we went during Easter and we had some activities such as deer walk and breakfast. And in the end, she organized a trip to the top of the mountains in her property and the view was amazing. There is bathroom and hot showers. The campsite was great to see wildlife such as kangaroos, birds, deers and a part of the horses and livestock she raises. Only recommendation: bring your own potable water

Camping at Grace’s land was a fantastic experience. The surrounding hills are amazing and there was such a nice atmosphere. Grace gave us a great weekend with a range of different experiences. From the deer spotting and meeting the gorgeous Friesian Pinto horses. We loved the Easter breakfast and the sunset four wheel drive trip. We will definitely be back. Thank you Grace for sharing your beautiful farm with us.

This was our first camping weekend away with our puppy and we couldn't have asked for a better place for it. Grace and her family have created such a wonderful space, perfect for relaxing, having fun and enjoying the countryside either alone or with the other guests if you fancy it. We took a walk up the hill to sit and take in the beautiful views while writing our vows, which is a memory we will never forget. The showers and toilets were great and the communal BBQ came in handy too. I would highly recommend Grace’s land to anyone, especially to those looking to take time away from their devices and truly appreciate the beauty around them. We enjoyed our long weekend at Grace’s land. It is very convenient if you are riding the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Grace was super friendly and so was her dog spot. Toilets and hot showers were a bonus. A great place to relax would visit again.

What a wonderful spot to camp. We loved camping high up in the hills at the Hilton. Accessible only by 4wd it starts by a steep climb up the ridge with amazing views across Yea. Up top there is just you and mother nature, no toilets or showers but there is good phone reception. We were lucky enough to have some beautiful weather on our first night with clear skies and the stars and moon to light up the night sky. Originally we had planned to stay up there one night and come down to camp at Graceland but we loved it so much we stayed up top and spent 2 days hiking the hills and valleys of this huge property to see kangaroosand deer's with put two dogs a hikers paradise.

There is a clearing of approx 4 acres, which has a small home, a clean outdoor toilet, an orchard, a few sheds, and plenty of space to set up camp on. The home is unoccupied, so you will have the sprawling bush site to yourself. Sit under the majestic canopy of stars in the evening and enjoy the warmth of the rustic bluestone campfire as you relax and unwind. There is nothing better than enjoying the ambience of an open campfire in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but a stunning night sky above your head! There is plenty of tank water which you can responsibly help yourself to. There is access to a toilet (no shower). The campsite has a picnic table for meals. Whilst it takes approx 10 mins of driving on dirt tracks to get to it, once on the property, surrounded by tall eucalypts, the sound of the birds, the absence of any humans, and the refreshing mountain air, totally zens you out, and you feel like you are miles away from the hustle and in your own little world! Please bring your own food, drinks and camping essentials. Check the CFA website for up-to-date fire safety information, and to ensure there are no fire bans prior to lighting fire in campfire or charcoal bbq's. Plenty of firewood available on site. Large picnic tables available for long lazy lunches with friends. Umbrella mounts on each table if you wish to bring your own umbrella for shade. Note - the site is available for single date bookings if you wish to host a picnic, get together or bush bbq with friends and family, with the guarantee of having a beautiful secluded spot that is totally reserved for you only. Trampolines x 3 available for kids and plenty of spots to set up bike ramps or jumps (BYO). A mini bush kitchen is set up with pots and pans for little budding chefs to cook up a mud pie or wombat stew. Another 800 mtrs from our front gates are the Warragal Rocks, which is a excellent walk and view from atop the Mountain. The Fern Glade

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer. Children under 3 are free, but for insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments. Day visitors are $20 per person, which incudes a donkey patting session. This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan. Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. If we have met overall capacity then we may not be able to approve increases to booking numbers. This is for the comfort and safety of all our visitors. ( Aug - Jan) Backing onto the national park and walking tracks. Jehoshaphat Gully, Shelley Harris Track, Mt Jerusalem Track. Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, Cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park. Visit Mason Falls Waterfall, 12-minute drive to Kinglake West. We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres) Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit. Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm No market in January. The St. Andrews market is every Saturday, 9am to 1pm just 12 minutes down the mountain. Whittlesea market is on every Monday 9am - 1pm We manage 2 sites on our farm & 2 sites on the neighboring farm

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. Yarra Valley Vineyard Views

We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.
