And Bridgwater bay about 10 km from camp. We have grassy site available with plenty of shade for self contained campers. We often have Kangaroos and Koalas along with plenty of other wildlife on the property so keep an eye out and make the most of a great wildlife watching opportunity. There are a number of water holes on the property the wildlife like to enjoy.The property borders a section of the Great South West Walk and you can easily get onto the track from here. This walk has some stunning scenery and is a great spot to enjoy this part of the coastline, all from a comfortable base back at camp.Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided pending there is no restrictions in place. Our property is a 180 year old historic homestead hobby farm with river frontage on the Glenelg River and a wonderful established garden. We have three different listings available at Fulham Homestead: - Fulham Historic Riverfront - Fulham Historic Creekfront - Fulham Homestead Guesthouse Our Guesthouse sleeps up to 8 people and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Talisker is an 11 bedroom, 5 bathroom home at this stage. Initially forming part of the Merino Downs pastoral run (taken up by Francis Henty in 1836). Talisker passed to Francis’s daughter Caroline on the death of Francis in 1889. Merino Downs was one of the first three squatting runs established in Victoria. Following Caroline’s marriage to Angus McLeod, the Talisker Homestead was commissioned by architect Charles D’Ebro prominent for his design of Stonnington (Malvern) and Langi Willie (Skipton). The homestead (circa 1901) is a large U shaped designed Edwardian home of some 26 rooms (not all are available to guests as some parts of the home are undergoing further renovations). Featuring a viewing tower with expansive 360 degree views, elaborate plasterwork, colour leadlights and handsome timber and marble mantles throughout the home. The original garden design is evident with Bunya Bunya pines, a large Oak and a Kurrajong tree. Talisker is named for Angus McLeod’s (please note McLeod and MacLeod are used interchangeably) ancestral seat on the Isle of Skye. Talisker was for centuries a possession of the Clan MacLeod. In 1820 Donald Macleod, 6th of Talisker, sold his interest in Talisker and emigrated to Van Diemen's Land, now known as Tasmania. In 1825, Hugh MacAskill took over the Talisker estate and completed the clearance process begun under his predecessor. Five years later, in 1830, he founded the Talisker Distillery and the legendary Talisker whisky was born.

Not far from Hamilton you'll find falls to wonder around. Portland has pick your own strawberries along with the tram to take a ride. Very very well kept site. Just lovely. Away from the hustle and bustle of Warnambool but close enough to get supplies and enjoy the town if you need. Recommend a trip to koroit while you’re staying. Great little town. We loved the peace and quiet. Shame we had to leave we would have stayed longer if we could. Highly recommend.

Easy to find the property. Good base to explore the area. Great that Shaddy Gums allows dogs - our dog loved it there. We stayed at Campsite 1 -Under the Gums. We have a flip top style camper and just had to manoeuvre it a bit to get it in the right spot to open the lid without hitting overhanging branches. . If you have a large camper or caravan, definitely book Campsite 2- By the dam which has a big, flat open area to park a larger RV. Lots of wildlife seen - grey kangaroos, swamp wallabies, emus, rabbits, yellow-tailed black cockatoos, blue wrens, fantails, currawongs, magpies, tree creepers etc. Heard but didn't see koalas. Campsite 2 track was a little overgrown so we didn't find it immediately but soon did. Half barrel fire pit with grill available plus some chopped firewood which was great as our second night was a bit chilly. The two campsites are about 100m apart and you can't see each other due to trees screening but can hear each other - all fine for us because the other campsite was just family noise - a young family having fun with their kids. The owner doesn't live on the property. There is an old derelict farmhouse in view from both campsites but no one seems to live there. We enjoyed walking along the property boundary fence - there is a mix of open bracken/plantation gums/native bush with plenty of xanthorrhea ('blackboys'). Plus very friendly cattle in the neighbouring field. A short drive to nearby lakes, the ocean beach and Portland.

This is a beautiful spot to camp! Surrounded on all sides by forest and hills I would definitely recommended Noor’s place. Very private camp spot and nice walks all around. A simple walk up the hills to see a panorama of the Grampians and local eagles. Noor was a lovely host. Definitely planning another trip here.
