And Bridgwater bay about 10 km from camp. We have grassy site available with plenty of shade for self contained campers. We often have Kangaroos and Koalas along with plenty of other wildlife on the property so keep an eye out and make the most of a great wildlife watching opportunity. There are a number of water holes on the property the wildlife like to enjoy.The property borders a section of the Great South West Walk and you can easily get onto the track from here. This walk has some stunning scenery and is a great spot to enjoy this part of the coastline, all from a comfortable base back at camp.Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided pending there is no restrictions in place. Daniel is an exceptional host. We were kind of lost and arrived late in the night. We entered the property from a different entrance, Daniel was quick to respond and even offered to come down in some time as his kid was in bed at that time. But we were able to locate the spot quickly thereafter. Great quiet place, facing the river, plenty of firewood around for us to gather and set up fire. Loved the vibe and our stay there. Thanks

Very very well kept site. Just lovely. Away from the hustle and bustle of Warnambool but close enough to get supplies and enjoy the town if you need. Recommend a trip to koroit while you’re staying. Great little town. We loved the peace and quiet. Shame we had to leave we would have stayed longer if we could. Highly recommend.

Rob was a great host; He popped over to say g'day and really made us feel welcome. The campsite was well-kept, and the scenery was stunning. Only downside was that it could’ve been a bit closer to some walking tracks, especially for my dog, and it would’ve been handy if there were toilets nearby.

Amazing 5 day camping experience! As beginner campers, this place was absolutely perfect! - very private, quiet, safe, and it truly felt like home. The owners, Tom and his lovely wife Cate, were incredibly welcoming and checked in with us regularly, especially during the rainy days. We really appreciated being allowed to use the indoor facilities for safety. Tom is friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable about wildlife. He took us for a walk around the camping area where we saw wallabies, kangaroos, cockatoos, and even emus! Having breakfast with wild wallabies nearby and spending time with my daughter under a sky full of stars were truly unforgettable moments. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back! Tips: • About 30 minutes to Halls Gap town • Around 25 minutes to Woolworths & BWS • Toilets and showers aren’t right next to the campsite but are within a manageable distance — and super clean! • Weather can change quickly - We set up a tarp over the tent and stayed completely dry. Just be prepared for changing weather!

Easy to find the property. Good base to explore the area. Great that Shaddy Gums allows dogs - our dog loved it there. We stayed at Campsite 1 -Under the Gums. We have a flip top style camper and just had to manoeuvre it a bit to get it in the right spot to open the lid without hitting overhanging branches. . If you have a large camper or caravan, definitely book Campsite 2- By the dam which has a big, flat open area to park a larger RV. Lots of wildlife seen - grey kangaroos, swamp wallabies, emus, rabbits, yellow-tailed black cockatoos, blue wrens, fantails, currawongs, magpies, tree creepers etc. Heard but didn't see koalas. Campsite 2 track was a little overgrown so we didn't find it immediately but soon did. Half barrel fire pit with grill available plus some chopped firewood which was great as our second night was a bit chilly. The two campsites are about 100m apart and you can't see each other due to trees screening but can hear each other - all fine for us because the other campsite was just family noise - a young family having fun with their kids. The owner doesn't live on the property. There is an old derelict farmhouse in view from both campsites but no one seems to live there. We enjoyed walking along the property boundary fence - there is a mix of open bracken/plantation gums/native bush with plenty of xanthorrhea ('blackboys'). Plus very friendly cattle in the neighbouring field. A short drive to nearby lakes, the ocean beach and Portland.

Lovely spot. Our kids loved the visits from the cows! We decided to leave early due to freezing and wet weather, and they kindly refunded us a night despite that not being their cancellation policy.

The kangaroos and wallabies graze on the parkland every evening and morning.
