And Bridgwater bay about 10 km from camp. We have grassy site available with plenty of shade for self contained campers. We often have Kangaroos and Koalas along with plenty of other wildlife on the property so keep an eye out and make the most of a great wildlife watching opportunity. There are a number of water holes on the property the wildlife like to enjoy.The property borders a section of the Great South West Walk and you can easily get onto the track from here. This walk has some stunning scenery and is a great spot to enjoy this part of the coastline, all from a comfortable base back at camp.Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided pending there is no restrictions in place. One camp site (one group only). The site accepts 8 people but if you are just two people you will have the place to yourselves except for the kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas and birdlife. The campsite is situated next to our family's holiday farmhouse that we visit sometimes, but only when there are no guest campers. There is a fire pit with grill plates available to cook over the fire (note open fires cannot occur when fire restrictions are in place). Campers have access to the flush toilet, hot shower and kitchen in the house. The house is a work in progress. We are slowly renovating the house, so it is a bit rough but it is clean and functional and you will have the place to yourselves. Please respect the locked private areas of the house. Campers are expected to bring their own cooking pots, plates, cutlery, camp chairs, etc. Only 4 km from Moyston where you can get great coffee and visit the historic Mine Walk. Halls Gap is 35km away or head through the mountains over Redmans Road that takes you the scenic route to Halls Gap (2WD accessible in dry weather). Kalymna Falls and picnic ground is a beautiful 15 min bush drive from the farm. The original garden design is evident with Bunya Bunya pines, a large Oak and a Kurrajong tree. Talisker is named for Angus McLeod’s (please note McLeod and MacLeod are used interchangeably) ancestral seat on the Isle of Skye. Talisker was for centuries a possession of the Clan MacLeod. In 1820 Donald Macleod, 6th of Talisker, sold his interest in Talisker and emigrated to Van Diemen's Land, now known as Tasmania. In 1825, Hugh MacAskill took over the Talisker estate and completed the clearance process begun under his predecessor. Five years later, in 1830, he founded the Talisker Distillery and the legendary Talisker whisky was born.

Fantastic spot to camp! We have been visiting the Grampians for many years now, but have always camped in the Northern end. Sam's property was beautiful, with amazing views of the mountains. Campsites were placed far enough apart from each other, and there was an abundance of firewood. Well placed to explore Dunkeld and the Victoria Valley, with Halls Gap only half an hour away. We'll be back for sure!

We took our camper trailer and our bull terrier to Hampton Park. I don't know what to say except we have stayed in almost 30 different Hip Camp sites and this is by far one of our favourites. The beautiful, well maintained and gorgeously presented sites, went well beyond our expectations. The views, the hosts and the whole stay was just wonderful. If we're ever travelling through Warrnambool again, I already know where will be staying. We would 100% recommend Hampton Park.

3 nights at Gariwerd Farm Camp

One of, if not the best camp and we have stayed at a few. Jason’s instructions were clear, even phoning a couple of days before to confirm we if we had any questions and to clarify a couple of things. He was a wealth of knowledge on the area and suggested a couple of places to go. The property, peaceful and private, views were spectacular, sunsets outstanding , the wildlife included many species of birds, wallabies, kangaroos and rabbits. Beautiful spot, we booked at the last minute as a stopover. We had the entire site to ourselves and it was simply beautiful. Rob and Julie were both delightful hosts. Highly recommend this beautiful setting.
