We are located at the foothills of the famous Grampians National Park with stunning views of the mountains and are within walking distance from some of the best mountain hikes, including the new Grampian Peaks Trail at our door step. We have a total of 600 acres of bush and sheep grazing, with plenty of surrounding activities or sit beside a campfire watching the array of bird life and animals. Plenty of things to do, I'll attempt to name as many as I can! From our front gate: Grampian National Park - walk or ride 500 metres Signal Peak Hike carpark - 2.9 km Mt Abrupt Hike carpark - 3.9 km Piccaninny Hike carpark - 7.7 km Sturgeon Hike carpark - 9 km Dunkeld township - 12 km. Dunkeld has an Information Center, Arboretum stocked with trout, famous Dunkeld Cup held in November, the Dunkeld Polo Cup, dining, bakery, cafe, wineries and a service station. Grampians 18 Golf Club - 12.3 km which is open all year round [xxxxxxxx]) Lake Bellfield - 46 km that is open to cod and trout fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing, swimming and any other water sport without a petrol motor as it is a water supply Halls Gap - 53 km has many walking trails, a mini golf course, cafes, supermarket and much more.

We had a great stay at Wannon river camp. It was exactly as described. The sites were huge and well maintained. We loved that we had the space all to ourselves. The fire pit was great and the views and scenery beautiful. Great walks close by and Dunkeld only a short drive away. We will definitely be back

Great spot! Plenty of room for our whole family - we had four vans and nine people. Vast property for morning walks before embarking on a variety of local hikes. Dunkeld is a lovely town with a fantastic visitor information centre. Highly recommend.

This is our second visit, and it is quickly becoming one of our favourite sites! We had previously only camped in the Northern Grampians, but the southern end and Dunkeld is so much quieter, and maybe more beautiful. Can recommend the bakery at Dunkeld too! The sites are well spaced, and have excellent views! Thanks Sam, we'll be back for sure!

Outstanding campsite, clean, grassy with plenty of space between sites. Lots of firewood supplied on the property, about 10-15 mins from Dunkeld and plenty of hikes nearby. We will definitely go back!

Great camp. Probably the best I've been to. Nice well kept sites, nice and well spaced out. It's just over the road from The Grampians so there's a beautiful view. Heaps of firewood around the property, and close to a few walking trails. Would go back any time. Thanks guys.

We stayed five nights here over Easter to explore the Grampians and to avoid the hordes at Halls Gap. And we definitely made the best decision! Having the peace and serenity of Wannon River Camp to return to each afternoon was simply THE best! Even with the seven campsites here being used most nights, they are so well spaced, it’s as though we almost had it to ourselves. We could have stayed another week because this style of bush camping is pretty much perfection to us - close to Dunkeld’s facilities yet felt remote, superbly flat sites, fabulous fire pit AND firewood easy to gather. The hosts have done a superb job creating this space and, after almost five weeks in Victoria this is our absolute favourite camp.

Really enjoyed our stay on this well maintained site.. Access was easy and security very good- this is important for Hipcampers! Site was well manicured thanks no doubt to the sheep contractors. We enjoyed the spaciousness and tranquility of being in a field with no one else in our space. Thanks for sharing your farm with us Sam.

What a great camp setup. The sites are massive, spread out and well maintained. The outlook from camp is gorgeous and it's so peaceful. We had cow and sheep visitors during our stay, which the kids loved. It's a great base to explore the Grampians.

Great site with loads of space and very good pitches with fire pits and seating logs. Not too much shade or protection from the wind but very beautiful. Close to Signal Hill which is a great hike. And close to The Royal Mail in Dunkeld which had superb restaurants. It was windy so best not to have fires in summer. Be very careful with fires.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Wannon River Farm. The proximity to the Grampions could not have been better and the site was peaceful, private and accommodating. We highly recommend this stay and hope to revisit again in the future.

Camping with the Grampians as our backdrop was an absolute delight. The farm served as the perfect base for exploring the surrounding small townships, where we encountered warm and welcoming locals. Sam was an excellent communicator and never missed a beat in responding to our queries. Have already recommended the campground to some of my camping buddies.
