Close to enjoy a variety of water activites swimming, fishing, kayaking, surfing. Logans Beach Day Spa and a female gym is 5 minute walk up the road from the property. Proudfoots, a historic restaurant, on the Hopkins River about a 15 minute stroll across the bridge and along the river walk past the boat moorings. They are well known for delicious food, great place to go for tea or weekend breakfast. There is also a walking /riding track and board walk promenade that will follows the foreshore and finishes at the Break Water passing the Warrnambool Surf Club, Lake Pertobe and some terrific restaurants, Simons and The Pavilion to note, which is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The CBD is only 5 minutes drive from the property great variety of restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, boutiques and speciality shops as well as supermarkets and other large chain stores such as, Woolworths, Coles, Audi, K-Mart and Target. Set on 2 acres, Sea Mist was purchased as a subdivision in 1998. The garden and house were also designed then and given council approval the following year. The extensive gardens incorporate both design ideas that Edna Walling used, and Bill Mollison and David Holgren developed with their Permaculture principals. The gardens were established over a number of years to follow, aiming to be as sustainable as possible. Although the property has town water connected, for most of the year it runs totally on tank water. The wastewater is recycled and used on many of the gardens. We have organic orchard and vegetable gardens that use companion planting and successive crop rotation. Guests are free to spend time in the garden and pick some fruit and herbs for a snack to use in cooking a meal. Please be respectful and leave plenty for others to share.

Weekend Trip to Sunny Lake Farm

Victoria’s property is just absolutely beautiful. Myself and my partner enjoyed our stay and Victoria was a fabulous host. She was friendly and ensured our one night stay had everything we needed. We brought our caravan, enjoyed a fire and relaxed. Great place to switch of from the everyday hustle of city life. Bonus was her two friendly dogs that just love being around people. Will definitely be back! Next time with the kids!

These pods are great! We loved it - everything we needed for a comfy stay. Even had a koala hanging out in the tree above us the whole time! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Such a beautiful camp ground, can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The property is beautiful and peaceful. No other campers in sight and there was plenty of space for the kids to run around. Our host was very hospitable and keen to make our stay comfortable. The kids got to feed the horses and we saw/heard all sorts of bird wildlife. The facilities are also excellent and have everything you need. Torquay was only 30 minutes drive, so convenient and we booked a table at the Blackmans brew pub for dinner one night.

We’re a family of four that spent three nights in a pod. This is such a lovely location close to nature - the absolute highlight was seeing several koalas ( and joeys) up close, a kookaburra and waking up to birdsong amongst majestic eucalypts. A great recharge only 3hr drive from Melbourne. Didn’t get to use all the amenities, just the bathrooms and they were clean and the showers hot.

3 nights at NRMA Port Campbell Holiday Park

The site is well-organised and features a lovely communal kitchen. The toilets are clean, and the location is excellent , it is just a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. The only downside is that it can get very windy at times. During our stay, the wind was strong enough to almost blow our tent away, and the slightly wet ground made it difficult for the pegs to hold securely. It’s something to keep in mind that bringing sandbags and heavy-duty metal pegs could help improve tent stability. If in caravan or camper van it’s no stress.

Absolutely loved Bimbi Park, we saw 12+ Koalas over the weekend, many Kookaburras, other beautiful birds, Kangaroos and Wallaby’s! Our fave was a morning walk around the park looking for Koalas. Staff were very kind and helpful, extremely pleasant to communicate with. 10/10 recommend! It was not too busy so had a good amount of privacy, if you want more privacy go for the Bush Camp lots instead. There is a huge group camp section that looked awesome for big groups, and a more kid friendly area closer to the bathrooms etc with a playground and more. Lots of cabins and other options too. Fave were the “Free Range Children” signs, making friends with the goats and chickens/rooster and getting a barista coffee on sat morning :)

Awesome campground, great location, good sized spots in unpowered area that offered privacy and shelter from wind. We didn't get to use many of the amazing ammenities but I look forward to going back in warmer weather to make the most of all Bimbi has to offer :)

Bimbi Park is as good as it gets. Big sites, lots of amenities and a cheerful and relaxed staff. They were very helpful with our request to get a camping pod instead of using the site we had picked because the weather was rubbish. It's a good hike down to the Cape Otway light station but very nice path. The Koalas in the trees and friendly Kookaburras made the place feel as "Aussie" as it gets. Highly recommend for families with kids.
