You have the entire site to your own, no other campers are normally on site, only one group at a time, so you get to enjoy all the space in nature without worrying about anyone else being around.

A large balcony runs along the back of the house, featuring comfortable lounge seating and a gas BBQ. An outdoor bath allows you to enjoy the night sky while listening to the sounds of nature.
The deck overlooks a large backyard that extends to the hills and dam. Relax on the refurbished lounge in the Balinese gazebo, where you can watch ducks wander by and listen to native birds nesting in the trees. A fire pit and seating area make for enjoyable nights outdoors when the weather permits. Please note, the fire pit is not available during summer or when fire bans are in place.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house. We provide doonas, pillows, hand towels, and tea towels. Please let us know how many beds you require so we can prepare them accordingly.
We are dog-friendly, and with the fully fenced yard, you can bring your pet along for the holiday! Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your pet.
Forrest has limited food supplies, so we recommend coming prepared. However, you can purchase delicious home-cooked food from the General Store or enjoy a meal at the Brewery (open Thurs-Mon).

Such a relaxing spot to set up camp the night. Boys enjoyed feeding the highland cows. They went swimming in the dam in the kayak provided and even caught a yabbie with the nets hanging from the end of the dock. Side was big enough for us.

We had a wonderful few days up at the Tall Trees Otways camp. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings to go for walks. Even a loo with a view! Couldn’t recommend enough, hope to come back sometime soon :)

I loved the camping experience here. The best part was the view—the spot right in front of the water dam was beautiful. The campsite was set up really well for campers, and the kayaking experience in the dam was amazing, especially since the kayaks were left there for campers to enjoy.
The kids had a great time. We were initially worried about toilets and water, but luckily there was a good toilet just two minutes away from the spot, so we didn’t have any issues during our stay. Overall, this is one of the best camping spots we’ve experienced so far.

We absolutely adore Kylie’s camping spot, stunning location in the trees and totally secluded despite being so close to Lorne. Lots of space to find a flat spot, incredible bird life all around, cosy fireplace and amazing loo facilities overlooking the forest. It’s a firm favourite highly recommend!

Great private spot in absolutely beautiful bushland. We camped at the second spot down the hill.
Compost toilet, fire pit and dog friendly made for a perfect little getaway for our group of 5. Super close to Otways NP, Lorne and Deans Marsh and really easy to get to from Melbourne. A rare find in that area! Kylie was great, very responsive.
It was a bit wet, but that’s the Otways - no fault of the owners.
BYO firewood if you want some long burners.
Will 100% come again.

Amazing, secluded and peaceful. The perfect retreat amongst the gum trees.
Whoever wrote the review about feeling "unsafe" is a fruit loop. This is camping in the bush at its best. You have the whole site to yourself and Kylee is a legend who takes care to make sure you are settled in.
We loved our stay. The drop toilet was a bonus! It's clean and serene. Short drive into Lorne is beautiful. Would definitely go back again.

A great option for any solo traveller (specifically female) who want some extra reassurance of safety. Beautiful scenery of the dam, friendly cows and plenty of birds and ducks. Very cold during winter so don’t forget your thermals and make sure you have the fire going strong through the night
