Our property is surrounded by the Otways forest and native Australian bush. Under 2 hours from Melbourne, and only 10-15minutes drive from the Otway Harvest Trail.  Find a spot to park your van, tent, camper trailer or caravan on our beautiful natural piece of secluded bush, and you won't see or hear another soul. You may spot lots of birds and wildlife, or enjoy the beautiful view from the road.  Please note: this is a spot for people such as hikers who appreciate nature and understand the concept of ‘leave no trace’. It’s not for parties or big groups. There are limited facilities (there is a basic composting toilet to use on site, but it’s not suitable as a caravan dump point) so you need to be totally self-sufficient and take all your waste and rubbish with you. BYO water. We are happy to accommodate up to 8 ppl, but please take everything with you, and leave our beautiful wilderness spot exactly as you left it, don't destroy the native vegetation and don't feed the wildlife.  Fires only in the fire-pit please and must be totally extinguished (with water, so bring extra) before you leave, and not on fire ban days. You must BYO firewood and take all your rubbish away with you. Extra charges will apply for any rubbish, food scraps etc left on site. We can’t offer free cancellation due to inclement weather, it’s the great outdoors after all! So please consider this when booking. We have no problem accessing the site in a 2WD but the last part of road is a bit rocky so just have your wits about you, and possibly the site isn’t suitable for huge rigs or super fancy cars! It’s also not suitable for big motorhomes or long caravans as it can be tricky to get them onto the site due to the narrow road, and parts of the site can get a bit boggy after rain. It’s a true bush camp, suitable for those who enjoy the serenity of kookaburras and the wind in the trees. Enjoy!

Campfires allowed
Firepit. Fires allowed in the fire pit only, and you must attend to it at ALL TIMES and make sure it's COMPLETELY extinguished with water when you leave. This bush is precious and very fire-prone. Please bring extra water for this purpose. BYO firewood. Native vegetation laws mean it is illegal to use fallen logs or branches to light a fire in this area, as these provide important habitat for all the special creatures on our property, we want to protect them so please bring your own firewood.
Toilet available
Composting toilet. There is a basic composting toilet on site for guests to use. Please follow the instructions on site. Only human waste and toilet paper can go in the toilet - NO other waste (no wet wipes, no pads/tampons, no extra liquid or rubbish) or it will destroy the composting system. It is not to be used as a caravan dump point.

On leash. Please pick up after them, and ensure they don't hassle the wildlife.

The site was a great little bush block which was almost totally secluded apart from the farmer who drove past twice with his dogs to collect his sheep from the fields - if you don’t mind that happening then it’s fine - hipcamp owner said this is rare - not a complete buzzkill but does take away from being completely secluded from other humans and noise. The drop toilet is fine except the plastic “windows” was all torn and was messy - but useable. The convenience of a table under cover was great. There is a caravan which is mouldy and unused along with an old bbq and unused sink and water tank and shed which are not part of the deal and could be described as “rustic charm” or “messy junk” depending on your philosophy - fire pit was great - easy access in and out for a 2WD - and host was lovey - communicated well - overall nice bush block.

Stayed at Lloyd’s place and had an awesome time. The campsite was great, private, and nicely secluded, so it stayed quiet the whole trip. The instructions were clear which made finding the spot simple, and he was super helpful throughout the whole process. Really appreciated how easy he made everything and would happily stay again.

We loved our weekend away - although the weather was miserable haha. The property is lovely and the dogs absolutely loved going for a walk to see the sheep next door! The undercover picnic table was an absolute lifesaver - as was the composting toilet!

Fantastic escape to the woods location with a drop toilet for comfort while enjoying the surrounds of birds and wildlife. This was my second time here and I will be back again I'm sure. Great spot.

Lloyds property is perfect for a quiet escape into nature. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us with our two tents and two cars. It was great to have use of the undercover picnic table.

Lovely property with fantastic surrounds that felt very secluded and private! Only note would be the March flies that were around if you have dogs. They seems to bother them quite a bit so highly recommend citronella candles to try and battle them! Otherwise very easy access for all type of vehicle. The drop toilet was very handy. All in all I would absolutely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Absolutely beautiful spot. Easy to access. Couldn’t recommend any higher. I had to annoyingly change my dates and Lloyd was absolutely fantastic about it. Also very quick to respond. All in all a great experience.

A great, secluded hide away. Very basic, which is what we loved about it. Didn’t see another soul for 2 full days. 👍👍 Lovely bush setting and a rural view only meters away. Ticked all the boxes for us.

Such a stunning site, we absolutely loved the serenity of this little gem in the bush. A great place for self sufficient campers. The views are lovely and there is a fire pit, wish could have used it but it was super windy while we were there and it just felt wrong lighting a camp fire in such a beautiful bush block and risking a bush fire. Can't wait to be back there.

We had a lovely stay over the June long weekend. It was quiet, secluded and very relaxing. We just managed to fit our 19ft van in with loads of room for the kids & dog to run around. We had a lovely greeting on arrival with directions from the owners, would definitely go back again.

Very secluded spot, surrounded by lovely forest. Stayed for two nights and had a peaceful and relaxing time. Only negative is that it was a bit tight for getting in and out with our 18ft van. The ground was wet, rocky and steep in parts and not much room for turning. But with careful manoeuvring we managed. We would have been in trouble without a four wheel drive and all terrain tyres. Composting toilet was great but we did need walking poles to access due to steep terrain. Bonus that it was a good distance from camping spot so no smell. Would recommend for campers with tents and camper vans.
