Christmas Holiday Bookings
Christmas and Boxing Days are available on request only, we will not be accepting any booking for arrival on Christmas or Boxing Days, so that we can have quality family time.
Any guest who would like to book a site to arrive before Christmas Day and depart after Boxing Day please message us via Hip Camp and we can make the site available for your booking.
Guests MUST be fully self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground) you will need to have a suitable camp toilet where you are able to take your waste with you on departure.
There is a Dump Point available in Rawson.
Site Toilets can be hired thru Moe Hire (03 5127 7114), they will deliver & pick up from your site.
A fire pit is provided free for the duration of your stay to each camp group.

Briagolong Bush Getaways is 40 acres of peaceful bush land.
Many, many moons ago the property use to be a tobacco farm. The original house use to be at the top camp site but was burnt down in the 1960's. A small cottage was then built and lived in for the next
10 years, while the original owner made mud bricks by hand and built the house, that is currently our home. All built by hand more than 42 years ago!
Here, you have several fantastic camp areas to choose from, some with access to amenities, some for self-contained campers. We've also recently started offering the mudbrick house for rent! A great option for a warmer stay in the Victorian winter, or if you are a large group and some want to camp whereas others want more comfort.

We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put.
For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you.
Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for.
A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing.
Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed.
What is available off farm?
Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins.
If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time.
East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area.

This lovely retreat centre exceeded all of our expectations. The host George was friendly and accommodating, the kitchen and dining areas were incredibly well stocked and spacious, not to mention beautifully designed. And to top it all off there was an abundance of wildlife within the camp that made our stay so memorable. Thank you so much George!

Beautiful place to relax, very private and peaceful! Kids had a great time ridding blow up tires down the river and fishing. Our kelpies loved it so much too

Group trip
This was an awesome camp site for our group of 2 caravans adjacent to the river and looking across to the alpaca's and to the groves of hazelnut tree's. Lisa and Bernie were super helpful and friendly. Definitely a camping location we will be coming back to and exploring their other beautiful river side camping sites.

What an awesome stay at coopers bridge, so peaceful even over the public holiday weekend with lots of other campers, the sites are so spacious we could not hear anyone else. Lisa and Bernie made us feel so welcome, would highly recommend

We camped in our 15ft hybrid camper, no issues getting to site- slow and steady.
We loved our 3 nights here, host was friendly and kept the grass around our huge area mown.
Our dogs loved the space and the river- overall a great success- we will be back with a bigger group next time. ❤️

Great space, plenty of room to roam and let the dog run around. Other campsites on the property are far enough away to feel like you’re totally secluded. Great listening to the array of birds, awesome being on the edge of the river which was very welcoming during the recent heatwave.
Only challenge were the flies in particular the botflies and massive flying ants (?).

We utterly loved our stay at The Bend. What a stunning property and part of the world this is. The river is more gorgeous than we imagined. Joanne and Jo were excellent hosts, friendly, plenty of tips on things to see and do. We loved visiting The Falls and enjoyed exploring the river further upstream on a hot day. The Bend campsite is beautifully maintained with a great big fire pit and a drop toilet that is about as pleasant as a drop toilet could be! We were so impressed our group had a toilet photo competition with one another!
We will absolutely be returning again, well worth the drive from Melbourne.

One of the best campgrounds ever! Lovely spot right on the river. The grounds are perfectly maintained and it’s easy to go for a quick swim. The toilet is also very clean wnd convenient. Would highly highly recommend!

It was a wonderful secluded spot. We had a private spot all to ourselves and just had the sound of the moving creek and wildlife. It’s a large property so if there were other hip campers I don’t think we would have known. The track was fine for our 2WD - just took it slow.
