There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. We also have 2 newly developed powered sites for your convenience. Please note, all toilet waste is strictly to be taken off the property. Campfires are permitted in provided fire-pits or your own portable metal fire-pit out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. Some sites also provide chairs and table settings for your convenience. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to some sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast. Loud, party groups with music at high volume are not permitted. Chainsaws and motorbikes are also not permitted.

The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs. Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower. rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi if needed. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground. There are five dogs who live here. They are all friendly and love people. Especially Daz who will be your best friend while you stay here. If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as Daz loves people. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Be sure to check out coffee houses down little laneways and the many culinary options of the restaurants in town.

A shearing shed is available that sleeps 5, plus we offer a number of campsites, with lots of clear space available for camping/caravans/motor homes to park up in quiet bushland surrounds. Lots of wildlife and bird life. Peaceful as minimal neighbours and no traffic. Bush roads for miles of bushwalking/bike riding. Waterways within 20 minutes drive. Sunsets are amazing and stargazing opportunities are incredible, right under the Milky Way!

You are free to explore the entire property, find a quiet spot under the old gum trees or discover the adjoining state forest with its abundance of wildlife and the valley of the giant grass trees. Catch a few yabbies in the large dam but please remember to return as many as possible for the next adventurers. Unless you’re a dog, swimming is not permitted in the dam! Discover rustic old town of Nagambie only 15 minutes by car, and the famous Mitchelton winery or the older style Tahbilk are both close to the property. The Nagambie brewery is a newcomer in town. The Nagambie Lake Hosts fishing and water sports all year round.

4 nights at Whip Stick Forest

Lovely safe flat mowed grass area with a central communal shed for shade and some trees. A great place for children. The power was great with extra long leads to borrow so you can take advantage of most areas on the property. Taps for drinking water. Nicely tucked away from the roads and private from the house but very convenient with the shops less than 3 KMs away. So nice to be next to the State park too with a private gate so you can explore the old gold mining area very easily. The shower and toilet were clean and a definite bonus. The many friendly dogs, cats and birds would delight children. A lovely spot. Recommended.

Best Hipcamp to date! From the moment we booked, communication was excellent, and the host’s warm welcome and personal tour set the tone for a wonderful stay. The property was tranquil and peaceful—at times it truly felt like we were the only ones there. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommend!

Loved our stay. Plenty of areas to choose from with a vast amount of area so we can really feel like we are all alone. great with the dogs too as they had unlimited space to run. only note is check the wind and camp near some of the tree cover unlike what we did.

Beautiful, relaxing camp. We stayed over cup weekend for 5 nights. By the end of our stay we were the only van on the property. Be prepared if the forecast is wind gusts it does gust we managed to stick it out for the one day gusts got up to 50km. Prue the host was informative and friendly with prompt replies. The tranquillity is worth it will definitely return.

We love the peace and quiet, the epic space, the awesome kayaking, the mob of roos that hop past every evening and morning, the bird life. The fact its an easy drive from Melbourne and 5 mins from a town is a bonus!!! A magic spot that we will always return to!

Badgery Point was perfect for us! No longer can we deal with busy holiday parks, and with a doggy, we can’t go to National parks. Badgery point was serene. So much space for groups to camp, with zero cross over, no noise from others. Just great huge flat areas with enormous fire pits and views of water all around. Our boys and dog could run, we swam in the lake, collected sticks, watched the kangaroos moving from one side to another and enjoyed cooking on the campfire. Whilst the lake looked muddy at the edge, it was easy to enter and sandy under the feet. It is a big rural property, and people should expect ants and prickles. The recommended sites were perfect and free from the burrs, and the ants didn’t bother us one bit. This was our first HipCamp experience and we will be back!

We had an absolutely superb long weekend away at Badgery Point, bush camping in our new self contained caravan on her maiden voyage. Directions were easy to follow to the camp, and other campers followed the 300m rule, so most of the time it felt like you had the place to yourself. Will definitely be back with our little family and hopefully bring some friends up too.

Top of the Hill is an excellent location. Spacious, private, and has lots to explore. Perfect for a couple of families to come stay, spread out, and enjoy sitting around a camp fire together. I highly recommend coming and staying on Chris’ property and hope to come back again in the future!
