Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife. The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal! We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy. Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge. Really wonderful weekend escape. My partner and puppy and I enjoyed a farm stay here at Anne Maree's cute cabin. It had everything we needed and was easy to find, the farm grounds are huge and we couldn't even manage to walk the whole property! Friendly dogs on the farm that would visit us. The cabin it Esse was lovely and well presented, heating, comfy bed, kitchen with everything needed and am amazing bathroom with rain shower. The jacuzzi looked lovely but it was raining the entire stay, and it was not working anyway(the owner was extremely apologetic about this, and made up for it, by offering other alternatives and also made us home made scones, lamb shank soup and some other goodies, she didn't need to do this however Anne Maree was lovely and a proper host) this made us feel so comfortable and welcome and we already want to go back!! Hoping the rain is not there and the jacuzzi is fixed the next time we are there, Thankyou Ann Maree for a wonderful stay

2 nights at Triple R’s Rescue Farm

If you’re an animal lover, this is the perfect place for a getaway! Roweena was a super friendly and accommodating host. She’s made an excellent space for her rescue animals and the campsite is really well kept, with lots of space. We were supplied apples to feed the animals each morning, which was the highlight of our trip! They were all so friendly and beautiful and was such a pleasure to spend so much time with them all. Again, can’t thank Roweena enough for providing such a wonderful experience, can’t wait to come back :)

Weekend Trip to Magic Mountain

We stayed with a toddler and a dog, and had a great time. The site was well organised and the A frame was clean and cosy. Our toddler loved reading books in the beanbag under the loft bed. A gas bbq and a wood fired pizza oven made life easy and we loved watching the sun set together from the giant hammock. The speed bumps going up the driveway are pretty intense, as previously noted. We have an Outback and still struggled on some of them. I'd recommend taking them on an angle at the edges, where the gradient isn't so steep. The way down is much easier. Overall, we loved it. An easy getaway from the city with a great view.

She is such a lovely host and spent time explaining the farm, it's history and the personalities of all the amazing animals that call it home. What a perfect weekend away. Plenty of peace and quiet for the parents and a fantastic, welcoming host in Roweena. The boys absolutely loved feeding, patting and just hanging out with the animals, especially the horses. Before we came I read reviews from people who had clearly been here more than just once - and now I know why. We will definitely be back as well. Thanks for a great weekend Roweena.

Weekend Trip to Weemalah Cabin & Camping

Had the most serendipitous weekend at Anne-mare’s campsite, it exceeded already very high expectations. The creek is stunning, and so fun for swimming, paddling floating, jumping off the rocks and (attempted) fishing. The landscape is so beautiful, plenty of space for camping and so much to explore. We also booked the cabin which was beautiful and the jacuzzi looking out on to the fields was such a delight!! Anne-maree met us at the gate and was super lovely and comprehensive showing us around and being available if we needed. Would 100% go back here!!

1 night at Magic Mountain

Patrick’s spot is amazing! I stayed by myself with my dog & there was so much space for us! It would easily accommodate large groups. The views over the mountains and area are amazing, both sunrise and sunset are spectacular! Can confirm as mentioned the driveway/road in is steep, no issue for a 4WD, but any other car you’d want to leave at the bottom and hike up. I will definitely be back to this spot with friends, definitely recommend!

Fantastic Hospitality and ‘extras’ like water and animal experiences not offered by other hosts; excellent communication. Bring levelling equipment just in case to make your camp more enjoyable as some parts of the land have undulations / slopes. Two thumbs UP overall!!!

Cute little property which houses rescue animals. Horses, buffalo, pig, sheep, etc. The camping area is grassed and flat and fenced off so the animals can't wander through. Not sure about facilities as we didnt need them. Host is an enthusiastic animal lover.

Loved staying at the farm house. Anne-Maree and her husband were very helpful through our trip. The view to the cattle was beautiful, sunsets every evening - brilliant! Worth noting the spa didn't get as hot as we would have liked as there was no cover. The max temperature we could get it to was 35 degrees which is not that warm - but still beautiful. Loved how self sufficient the cabin was too!

4 nights at Triple R’s Rescue Farm

Roweena was super lovely and accomodating to us being there over new years, the rescue animals were adorable and all of us had fun interacting with the animals, especially the pig and goats! The location is an easy 1-1.5 hour drive from Melbourne, and there’s shops just 5 mins away so we didn’t have any issues if we forgot to pack something. The site was nice and private, and we all loved staying there :) thanks for having us Roweena!
