We are located between Bairnsdale and Sale. The Park is set on 174 acres of peaceful bushland, including Banksia, Red Gum, White Gum, and ancient River Gum forest. The Park offers both powered and unpowered sites, a communal lounge, separate accommodation, modern toilet facilities, sheltered BBQs as well as a camp kitchen. The park also offers a swimming pool and tennis court.

Imagine all the joy of camping, being outdoors and close to nature, seeing all the stars and waking to the sound of birds, but without the packing, organisation and effort. That’s Birdwatchers Getwaway. We had everything we needed. The tent is heated and has lovely fairy lights and candles making it so cosy at night. The kitchen is simple but well appointed and there’s even a hot shower. There are a few other cottages around but it felt secluded and quiet. I would highly recommend it.

Cabin 4 was a great experience. My wife and I had a fantastic time in the seclusion and serenity. The cabin itself had all of the necessary inclusions, and the wood stove provided excellent warmth throughout the night.. The toilet block is a close stroll
The highlight would have to be seeing the stars from the back porch and waking up to the views of mountains and frost on the pastures.
George was fantastic and nothing was too hard. We had a great stay and will definitely be back when we are down there next.

Trish and Paul were so welcoming and accommodating to everything we need. The view by the river was so relaxing and the tent was so spacious. They even had fairy lights both inside and outside the tent. I can’t count the number of time I had a little nap in the hammock by the river.
The water was so warm to swim and we even took our dogs in for a bit of a swim too.
There was also so much space on the property for our 2 dogs to run around and even made some new friend during the stay.
