At Farm on Franklin you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, bushwalking, bird watching, oystering (please cook them), and wildlife spotting. We are 15mins to Port Sorell, Bakers Beach, Narawntapu National Park, and House of Anvers Chocolate Factory. 25mins to Devonport, 1hr to Launceston, 1.5hrs to Cradle Mt and surrounded by attractions from Berry Farms to Wineries and stunning farmland. This is a beautiful natural campsite on land near our home. You'll need to have your own power, toilet/shower and leave no trace. We've had 18 months off, but we're back and hope to see you soon!

Back down the road towards the highway is the Millicent Valley walking trail and once back to the highway junction you can walk along several long, sandy beaches or head east to find Rocky Cape National Park with spectacular hiking tracks, swimming and fishing spots. Weekend Trip to Farm on Franklin - Tasmania

We loved our stay at Farm on Franklin, such a beautiful place we were greeted by Sarah at the property and were allowed to pick our own grassy spot by the river. This place is perfect for families and you can bring your pet, fire pots provided and short walks by the river add to the serenity. this place is only 10 minutes from Port Sorell and close to the national park. Easy to follow directions 5 minutes on a gravel road to get to the site, some telstra coverage with semi level sites that only took some minor leveling of our 21 ft van. we would love stay again and would highly recommend to quiet couples travelling with their pets. dump point and woolworths in Port Sorell

We loved it here! The owners are soooooo nice! The kids loved feeding the animals, we were given some eggs, and the girls even got to add to the fairy garden before we left. Wish we could have stayed longer. Check out the farm shop, too..the pepper berry is delish!!!

Trudi, the host is lovely. So welcoming & relaxed. She even gave us an opportunity to feed the alpacas & learn all about pepperberries which she grows and harvests there. Saw a gorgeous one day old goat And dog friendly off leash! The paddock is fenced. Great camping/farmstay

Easy access and very close to Ulverstone, although you wouldn't know it from your riverside camp. Our camp-site was only metres from the river and completely hidden from the outside world.

We loved camping at the farm! It wasn’t too difficult to find a level spot for our van, & it’s grassy & sunny. Did a day trip to Cradle Mountain & on our return Trudy gave us food to feed the Llamas & chickens, & a bag of pepper berries for us to take with us. A great experience!

We loved our stay at Alpaca and pepperberry farm . There is a big paddock with plenty of space to choose from . There is feeding time with the alpacas, there were 2 , 1month old babies on our visit . We were given a sample of the native pepperberries, It is lovely and quiet. Trudi is a lovely host . It is close to town for a walk to the lake with platypus .

We enjoyed the peace and quiet there, and were on our own. All we could hear is the creek, the crickets and the wind in the tall gum tree. It is a great spot to get away, and is only ten minutes out of Ulverstone. Candy was very helpful and welcoming.

What a unique and wonderful farmstay experience. The property was easy to find and access with our 19’6 caravan. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful host Trudi and given a tour of this fabulous property where we could choose wherever we wished to park. You can choose to camp with the friendly goats and alpacas or camp in the top area and just visit the animals. We were lucky enough to feed the baby alpacas, meet all the dogs, cats and chickens and even get some fresh eggs and our new favourite pepperberries! A short drive to Philosophers falls and to the lake in the middle of town with the platypus. Trudi went above and beyond to make our stay special. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful property in our campervan. Trudi was a fantastic host— she so welcoming, and generous with her time. She took us on a lovely walk around the property, teaching us about Pepper berries and their farming process, and we even got to meet and feed some of the adorable alpacas and their babies. We chose to stay in the paddock with the goats, and it was a laugh-a-minute! They were full of personality and very curious. There was also the option to stay in a separate paddock and observe the animals if we had of preferred. The creek in the paddock was beautiful, and the entire property had such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for a few days of downtime in nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique stay!
