A spacious cottage: spa bath, set within an extensive garden overlooking farm paddocks, forest on the beautiful north-west coast of Tasmania. Well equipped new kitchen, laundry, cosy fireplace, solar efficient warm kitchen. Bush walks adjacent to property; Boat Harbour and Sisters Beach nearby, Cradle Mountain (two hours drive) and the historic town of Stanley about 50 minutes, fifteen minutes to Wynyard. Pets are not allowed as too many farm animals and endangered species; quolls, bandicoots. The space The cottage sits in a well maintained garden setting; quiet, clean air, starry nights ( when clear) and access to bush walks close by. Detox from stress and city life. The cottage is roomy and sunny with views from all rooms of the garden. We don't use pesticides in our garden or on our vegetable garden. In season you are welcome to pick some berry fruit, herbs and apples. Pasture eggs are available in season too. Guest access There is ample parking, even for large vehicles with easy access in and out. The main gate, 10 kms from the Bass Hwy on the left, is automatic. Press the button on the left hand side of the entry path and wait for the gate to open. Closes automatically. Please park next to the cottage leaving room for us to reverse out of our garage. The key is on the key holder to the right of the main double door and will be left open for you to access as arranged when you book. There are outside lights that can be turned on to illuminate the driveway and verandah if you expect top be arriving after dark. Please turn off once you have entered or before bedtime - we have nocturnal animals that visit; owls, micro bats and quolls for example. Other things to note There are lots of hidden treasures for walks nearby. Also farm to plate food experiences for those who chase up food grown and cooked locally, subject to seasonality. The sea food is fresh and well cooked at the Wynyard wharf fish and chip shop. The Vault is an amusing restaurant and has good food. We love the Waterfront Motel restaurant where we can sit and watch the Inglis river and the Wynyard Yacht club boats sail by.
