Traill's Corner is a 6 acre property situated on the Mersey River. The camping area is a large open field with a short walk to the river access, and warm springs. It's great for swimming for small children to paddle in, deeper for swimming and kayaking. We are located 20 minutes from Deloraine and Latrobe and not even an hr away from Launceston. We are a great base to head off during the day and explore what is on offering our wonderful part of the world. rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, there are lots of little towns around with gorgeous shops to visit, such as the Meander valley, Cradle Mountain, the Great Lakes and so, much more. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, it's a Tasmanian version of luxury camping. Our Yurt location is known as The Top Paddock - A Little Inside Information: Well in my opinion (and a few others) I am Living The Dream! I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down. I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient. The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed. It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals. There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting. It really is an amazing lifestyle, peaceful, relaxing and rewarding. You should come see for yourself 😉

Traills Corner was nice to camp at but not well maintained. Grandkids had a great time in the Mersey River with paddle boards and small boat going over the small rapids. Jumping off the pole and swimming. Everyone was disappointed that the spa bath was dirty and couldn't be used. Grass was long which wasn't good with the damp conditions of the weekend. Eels were caught, fish were seen in the river. The warm spring pool in town was also disappointing as has not been maintained, very overgrown with weed. Had to use 4x4 to get out as the overnight rain had made the road slippery up the slight hill. Would I go again? Yes but would hope that the area is in better condition. Grass cut, bath clean. Never saw Mandy but did have a chat with her hubby/partner who was nice to talk to. We did call at the house a couple of times but no one there.

Lovely spot by the river, kids all loved being able to swim and paddle board, spent hours in the river. Great open spot. Area could be a bit better maintained, grass a bit too long, fire pot areas overgrown, few too many thistles. Warm spring bath not usable which was a shame. Lots of potential with a bit of TLC.

Loved our time at trails corner. Might have been time of year , but we also shared our camp site with lots of wasps. We had leeches and a wolf spider 😅 Kayaks were a nice addition. Thanks for sharing your space.

What an awesome spot !!! Took the grandkids this time they literally spent 6.5 hours in the river playing in kayaks doughnuts and water fun. Then off to the swings for more fun ! Thankyou so much for sharing your property we’ll be back

We stayed 2 night with 3 dogs and 3 cars. Place was easy to find, Maddy the host was very friendly and helpful. Lovely spot. Open space great for dogs to play and the river a few meters away. We made use of the purple camper vans awning and had a great little set up. HIGHLY recommend this spot.

Great spot, right by the river. Will definitely be turned into something great. Looks like a few little projects on the go. Will be even better when it's all finished. Like all paddock stays be mindful of wet days started to get a bid muddy and slippery when we left.

Enjoyed two peaceful nights at this beautiful spot. The river is spectacular and lovely spots to camp . Didn’t have time to check out the thermal spa pool or swim in the river . But will be back and hope to do that next time .

Weekend Trip to Traill's Corner

We spent 2 nights in this peaceful spot and loved every minute of it. We spotted a platypus and paddy melon as well as lots of birdlife. Although we didn’t use it, the spa on the warm springs creek is a great idea and there are fire pits on hand to use if you want. The hosts are great people, very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to coming back again sometime.
