Located only 8 km from the famous Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, Branxholm Lodge offers accommodation for 1, 2, or up to 12 people in the Bunk House. The Bunk House features a comfortable and modern lounge and dining area with inside cooking facilities and a flat-screen TV to relive your daily rides on the big screen. WIFI was available free of charge. If you want to relax outside there is an outdoor entertaining and BBQ area with an additional fridge, plus a large firepit and kids' play area with a handball court marked out. Laundry with washer and dryer, 3 toilets, and 2 shower facilities. Sleeping 12 people in bunks across two rooms is ideal for couples, families, or groups. For mountain bike enthusiasts there is a bike wash-down area and secure storage. The 8km Branxholm to Derby Trail is a great way to get warmed up for the day. The trail starts from the oval behind the property. Or if you want to just get there fast there are many transportation options straight to the trails. When you return from the day’s activities you can fuel up at the Branxholm IGA visit one of the many restaurants in the area or in summer take a dip in the Branxholm public swimming pool. Or fire up the fire pit for a night under the stars toasting marshmallows.

THIS IS A WORKING FARM WITH MANY FREE ROAMING ANIMALS! Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river, so therefor the LAST property at the end of the road before the road goes into Forestry tracks. Many would consider this place to be very remote.....to us it is close to the City only 50 minutes away over the Mountain gravel roads. If you want to travel on mostly sealed roads go through Fingal and PAST Mathinna. Check maps before you leave as NO reception out here. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp upon, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the paddock grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. The Bohemian Beach retreat was just the cosiest place! We absolutely loved our time here - you can tell a lot of love has gone into this place over the years and it feels like home. The outdoor fire pit and bath were highlights. Note the toilet and shower are an outhouse and if its poor weather it can be a wet trip there and back. In saying that - not a negative for us.

Weekend Trip to Bohemian Beach Retreat Tiny House

We had such a beautiful weekend staying at Mike and Sheena’s Boho beach retreat, it felt peaceful and welcoming. We loved that our dogs could come along with us — it made the weekend feel even more special having them there. The space itself was perfect — simple, cosy, and had everything we needed. It was so nice to switch off, unwind, and enjoy the quiet by the beach. The fire bath was such a highlight — sitting in the warm bath in the rain was pure bliss. We left feeling relaxed, reconnected, and already talking about when we can come back.

Weekend Trip to Bohemian Beach Retreat Tiny House

We really loved staying at Michael and Sheena's place. We were looking for a place to have a cosy weekend away with a fire bath and fire pit. On arrival everything was set up for us, fire in the pit and under the bath. All we had to do was fill up the water and light the fires. It was a lovely romantic getaway. Falmouth is a lovely destination with long sand beach, lagoon and rocky boldery Shaw line to explore rock pools. The accommodation had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and warm. The place was nestled in between to house but we had plenty of privacy. We could watch the stars, listen to frogs in the evening and drids during the day. As a bonus, Michael and Sheena had a cd player and plenty of cds to listen to which were right up our alley. Lived our time here, Michael was a great communicator and checked in with us.

It was such a comfortable, well kept and lovely campsite. We got held up in the day so could only check in late but Doug was so great and helped us check in with ease. The toilets were the best we’ve experienced on this island. So clean and the showers were really warm it made camping so hassle free and enjoyable. Besides google maps doing us dirty and sending us through forestry roads (go towards Mathinna not memory road) - this stay was great! Charly and her dogs greeted us on entry and she directed us towards a peaceful little patch down by the river. In the morning, we got to eat our brekky with the view of the cows grazing and mountains in the horizon. Highly recommend for a rural farm stay. Thanks Charly!
