Bruny coastal camping & Funky Barn

3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents8 acres · Adventure Bay, TAS
Situated on a small coastal farm on 8 acres above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island. Camping area and the barn are in a gently sloping pasture paddock with flat areas for camping. Beautiful walks from the property, with just a five minute walk down to the spectacular sea cave, and a 10-15 minute walk through the light bush and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach, where you can swim with the waves, fish off the rocks, or go for an endless walk along the beach. 5 minutes drive to adventure bay's beautiful beaches which are safe for swimming and dog friendly, as well as the grocery store, restaurant, bowls club (for Friday and Saturday night meals). If you love birds, there will be plenty of sounds to listen to from the trees. You might be lucky to see the wedge tail eagle hovering above. Resident banjo frogs live in the large pond in the corner of the paddock. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and reasonable privacy. 2 options available: + Camp site for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area with lovely ocean views. + Or upgrade to an affordable lodging in a rustic but comfortable converted horse barn, double bed in the loft with clean linen provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. Portable camping toilet is in the outhouse. Dogs are subject to pre-approval, and must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. Horses are usually only here during the winter months. The property is fully fenced so there is plenty of space for your dog to run around and a large pond. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. Its is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

3 Sheep Farm

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents100 acres · Carlton River, TAS
3 Sheep Farm is set on a beautiful pasture with amazing Carlton River views. Discover where the salt water meets the fresh, with lots of amazing bird life, a short drive to many beaches, vineyards, distilleries, and parks. It's quiet and private. We have 3km of our own hiking trails, and great mountain biking. Drop your kayak or fishing rod in just a few meters from the property. Please note: We only accept one vehicle setup per group (e.g combi-van, car+ campertrailer, car+caravan). We do however have a decent level parking area not far from the camping site, so if you have multiple vehicles yet are tent camping for example, you can park the additional vehicles in the carpark and walk to camp. Multiple caravanners traveling together will need to book separately. We accept well-behaved pets. Most of the sites don’t have power, but we have a charging area for your devices. We also have a composting toilet, portaloo and an outdoor passive solar shower. Do you have an event we can help host? We could easily accommodate 30-40 for a day event. Enquire if interested!

Boho Cottage

1 site · Lodging10 acres · Dodges Ferry, TAS
Boho Cottage is our haven for recharging and reflection nestled in the stunning surrounds of the Tasman Peninsula area. We spend every possible moment here, relaxing, exploring, walking, swimming, fishing, surfing, dreaming — and like us, we hope that every guest who stays will love it as much as we do. The cottage is located a short walk from the white sands of White Beach and a short drive from Port Arthur Historic Site, natural geological attractions, amazing walking tracks and secluded bays. Featuring 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, updated kitchen and bathroom and an open plan cosy living and dining area. All beds and appliances have been purchased new with the intention of providing you with a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. There are two staircases off the front deck but reasonably flat access is provided at the rear of the property which will be your first entry point. We have gone to some lengths to include a wide selection of DVDs, games and books to keep you occupied in the house. We strongly recommend a daily walk on the beach and that you explore the many many attractions located on the Tasman Peninsula. Just prior to your stay you will be sent a unique code to access the property. The access code will promptly expire at the conclusion of your stay. The keypad for the access code is located at the entrance door under the carport at the rear of the cottage. The majority of the property is free for you to access. The garage has been excluded but there is a large carport which we suggest you use given that the property is surrounded by natural bush. We are available by phone from 8 am to 8 pm if you have any questions during your stay. We would love it if you could message us when you have arrived safely and also a message on leaving is appreciated so we can clean as early as possible for our next guests. Please please let me know as soon as you can if there are any issues at all so I have a chance to take the appropriate action to ensure your stay is it should be – totally stress-free and relaxing!! As I am not in the area I am unable to personally check the house before your arrival – I am heavily reliant on my housekeeper and I need to know as soon as possible if you and therefore me have been let down in any way by the presentation of Boho Cottage. The Tasman Peninsula has an abundance of things to do and see. White Beach itself is perfect for all beach activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, beachcombing, relaxing, snorkelling, kayaking etc. Places to visit include Port Arthur Historic Site, Coal Mines Historic Site, Tasman Golf Club Address, Tasman Devil Conservation Park, Federation Chocolate Factory, William McHenry and Sons Distillery, Blow Hole and Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen, and Tessellated Pavement
