When you book, you'll secure a site within one of our designated camping areas, with the freedom to choose your exact setup spot upon arrival. We offer two main areas: "The Big Paddock" (left of the road) and "The Little Paddock" (right of the road). The Big Paddock is ideally suited for smaller campervans, tents, swags, off-road caravans, and camper trailers. Here, you can set up anywhere within its bounds; pitching your tent among the trees or along the river is perfect for a truly immersive experience. An approximately 3-acre clearing is also available by the river. For easier access directly from the road, The Little Paddock is an excellent choice. While suitable for smaller vehicles, it's also ideal for larger caravans. This area offers approximately 5 acres of clearing right beside the river. Both paddocks are conveniently located just before the bridge and provide ample open space for outdoor activities like frisbee or cricket. Natural Surroundings & Activities: Leven River Camping borders the Dial Range Nature Recreation Area and a Nature Conservation Reserve. Our sites are set on lush, green, fern-filled river flats within a sometimes misty forested valley, cradled below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. The surrounding area boasts popular hiking and mountain biking trails. The Leven River itself is a highlight, offering some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. You'll also find perfect spots for kayaking, along with private river beaches where you can relax, paddle, swim, or enjoy a picnic. Access to the property is via a very scenic 4km, well-maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the valley. Important Information No facilities are provided on-site. Guests must bring their own camping toilet (a dumping point is available in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and are responsible for all rubbish removal. Our Yurt location is known as The Top Paddock - A Little Inside Information: Well in my opinion (and a few others) I am Living The Dream! I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down. I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient. The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed. It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals. There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting. Positives: Beautiful soft, well kept lawn to set up on. We didn't even bother using our mat. A choice of full sun or full/part shaded areas. Abundant bird life. Relatively easy access to the river up near the bridge. Looked like a good spot to launch kayaks, fish or swim with caution. Fire drums and stone fire areas provided to some sites Negatives: (if you want to be pedantic) *Very small signs - we found it, but 4 vans drove past and had to turn around. * only 1 river access, which many times was being used by day visitors so access was restricted

We loved it here! The owners are soooooo nice! The kids loved feeding the animals, we were given some eggs, and the girls even got to add to the fairy garden before we left. Wish we could have stayed longer. Check out the farm shop, too..the pepper berry is delish!!!

We loved camping at the farm! It wasn’t too difficult to find a level spot for our van, & it’s grassy & sunny. Did a day trip to Cradle Mountain & on our return Trudy gave us food to feed the Llamas & chickens, & a bag of pepper berries for us to take with us. A great experience!

We loved our stay at Alpaca and pepperberry farm . There is a big paddock with plenty of space to choose from . There is feeding time with the alpacas, there were 2 , 1month old babies on our visit . We were given a sample of the native pepperberries, It is lovely and quiet. Trudi is a lovely host . It is close to town for a walk to the lake with platypus .

What a unique and wonderful farmstay experience. The property was easy to find and access with our 19’6 caravan. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful host Trudi and given a tour of this fabulous property where we could choose wherever we wished to park. You can choose to camp with the friendly goats and alpacas or camp in the top area and just visit the animals. We were lucky enough to feed the baby alpacas, meet all the dogs, cats and chickens and even get some fresh eggs and our new favourite pepperberries! A short drive to Philosophers falls and to the lake in the middle of town with the platypus. Trudi went above and beyond to make our stay special. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful property in our campervan. Trudi was a fantastic host— she so welcoming, and generous with her time. She took us on a lovely walk around the property, teaching us about Pepper berries and their farming process, and we even got to meet and feed some of the adorable alpacas and their babies. We chose to stay in the paddock with the goats, and it was a laugh-a-minute! They were full of personality and very curious. There was also the option to stay in a separate paddock and observe the animals if we had of preferred. The creek in the paddock was beautiful, and the entire property had such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for a few days of downtime in nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique stay!

We spent the australia day long weekend at this camp. Its a great spot on the river. Access is a little hard as the banks are steep but you can make it work. The best site is on the right gate down the very end as it has easy access to the river. Nice and quiet had fires each night. About 6 other caravans in the paddock at the time.

Beautiful spot to stay, even though it was only very short! The hosts were fantastic, and did to a long day on the road thru were able to accommodate us to check in at 11:30pm which was great! Beautiful horses, look forward to staying again!
