Weekend Trip to Cethana camp ground

I was greeted on arrival and shown the appropriate camping spots. Caretaker was super nice and friendly. The campsite has all the right amenities- fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave so it’s easy to organise your food. Also a pizza oven and barbecue. Owner came over with muffins on my first morning which was super nice. Chicken seemed to undo my tent pegs while I was away during the day. Overall great stay with lovely views.

We loved our stay at Farm on Franklin, such a beautiful place we were greeted by Sarah at the property and were allowed to pick our own grassy spot by the river. This place is perfect for families and you can bring your pet, fire pots provided and short walks by the river add to the serenity. this place is only 10 minutes from Port Sorell and close to the national park. Easy to follow directions 5 minutes on a gravel road to get to the site, some telstra coverage with semi level sites that only took some minor leveling of our 21 ft van. we would love stay again and would highly recommend to quiet couples travelling with their pets. dump point and woolworths in Port Sorell

Scott and his wife Linda were lovely and welcoming hosts on their camping and fishing property. Despite the rain, we managed to enjoy a firepit ($25 for a wheel barrow + firelighter) and trout fishing ($65 for 24h with 1 rod and 5 trout pellets on hooks provided - catch and release only). Their pond is heavily stocked with large trout which are very fun to catch on 6LB line! There are clean portaloos and gas BBQ facilities on the property. They even provided us with a bucket of hot soapy water to clean our dishes. Areas to park RVs are on gravel. No potable water, but water can be boiled for 3 mins before drinking. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Cradle Mountain and wanting a more 'off grid' experience. Lovely hospitality 5/5.

This is a fantastic campsite only 35 minute drive from cradle mountain visitors centre! The lady manning the site was wonderful, set us up with everything we needed and showed us the best place to pitch our tent! The hot shower was beautiful after a long day walking, and the small camp kitchen area was a nice place to take refuge from the cold of our tent! It had a couple plug sockets so you could change your phones or portable charger, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and a table and chairs. There was an undercover outdoor bit too with a bench, bbq and pizza oven . The resident chicken Mrs.Chook was very sweet and friendly, she’s a vocal girl but loves pecking at your shoes bless her! Would highly recommend staying here!

Incredible experience! Not only was the site absolutely beautiful and peaceful, we got the opportunity to take the guided walk with Tim through his property where we learnt more about animals and fruit. We got to sample some of the blueberries (and they are the BEST we’ve ever had), we had the privilege to get to know Tim. Disappointed to only stay one night, but will back much longer next time!

1 night at Cradle Mountain Fishery and Camping

We arrived there very late but the owner still waiting for us. He was very nice and gave us warm welcome. We have got good spot for our campervan which had unforgettable view.

The site was terrific and well maintained. Wendy was a wonderful host and accommodated us perfectly! Really great shower as well :)

1 night at Marleen Herbs of Tasmania

Was amazing staying here!! Met Marleen and Ronald and they were lovely with a cute puppy! Had amazing facilities (I did struggle to find the bathroom - but I think that’s a me thing) Even left me home grown mandarins in the bathroom which I had for breakfast!

Weekend Trip to Cethana camp ground

beautiful location, not too far from cradle mountain! host was super friendly! ammenities were great and clean! beautiful clear view of the stars and milky way at night!
