Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips
Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking.
As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs.
There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van.
We only make provision for two campsites so you'll never be crowded.

There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by!

Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips
Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking.
As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs.
There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van.
We only make provision for two campsites so you'll never be crowded.

Located in Southport, 15 minutes south of Dover, this is a great place to base yourself and explore the local region and all it has to offer. We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals).
There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by!
Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access.
Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater.

What an amazing spot! Caravan & RV parks were crowded, but we parked on a secluded spot overlooking the mountains and Hobart…… for cheaper!
Nothing but the full blood moon and the wallabies.
Easy to get to and had the whole place to ourselves.
Wish we had more time; would have easily made this our hub and day trips from this location would be perfect 😍

Very spacious and private with awesome views. Very steep to reach top viewing point - I didn’t try in my sprinter. But 4wd easily get up there.
Across the road is the Lovely Woodbine reserve with original 19 th century farm house and structures and a huge variety of native flora. Dogs not allowed.

What a beautiful spot this is! Truly a hidden gem in Bruny. The hosts are super friendly, the views are stunning and there is an abundance of wildlife around in the evenings. It was so nice we had to stay for another night. I really cannot recommend this place enough, loads of flat space and spot on directions.

Hi, I went on mid feb to celebrate my anniversary, but we left late but the Callum was concerned about us whether we are coming or not, but he was good guy , we can’t able to make tent as it was windy so we decided to sleep in our car,
It was good place, we saw that Callum is giving his efforts for further upgrade we wish him a best wishes, hope to visit that place again in greenery seasons. I request Callum to make toilet.

1 night at Carlton River Escape
Simple but well built hikers hut type format. The description is exactly what it says but what Mark leaves out is the stunning views. The moment you take one foot out the door you are totally awestruck by the sky above and surroundings. Was a great off grid experience. Mark is helpful, friendly and a wonderful host.

The old barn Paddock is a great place to sit ,relax and watch the world go by oh and the swans and the geese . Nestled on the edge of Craigburne Dam there is plenty of room so you can bring friends or go it alone. We spent three nights there and highly recommend it. The hosts are great and may even come down and have a chat and maybe a beer or wine.

Grants directions were clear and helpful. The site only takes 3 vans at a time, Grant allows plenty of space between campers. It’s not a huge site but very pleasant view through the orchard.

We had an incredible stay at River Huon Views! If you are looking for a peaceful base to explore Southern Tasmania, this is it.
The first thing that hits you is the view—waking up to the sun rising over the Huon River and the valley is something I could watch for minutes on end. The sites are well-spaced and nice and flat, which made setting up the van a breeze.
What we loved:
The Location: It’s just a short 5-miutes walk into the historic town of Franklin.
The Orchard: Staying right amongst the plums and apple trees felt like a true Tassie farm experience.
Self-Contained Ease: While you need to be self-contained, having access to fresh drinking water and a dump point on-site made the stay very "hassle-free."
It was a fantastic value for the privacy and the scenery you get. We even kept an eye out for the Aurora, though we'll have to come back next time to catch it!
Huge thanks to Darren and the family for being such accommodating hosts. We’ll definitely be back for another stay!
