We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. Emporium cafe for the best coffee in Riverton Important Information to know before ALL GUESTS/VISITORS MUST BE BOOKED IN BEFORE ENTERING OUR PROPERTY!!! All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. No chainsaws on property. It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Pindari Park is a beautiful 130 acre CLIFF TOP property that offers both North and South views of the River Murray. Situated on the western bank (cliff side) overlooking the most Northerly point of the river and the township of Cadell SA. Our property does have a rocky underlay, due to the cliff, recommended that drill tent pegs are used. ALL CAMPERS ARE TO BRING THEIR OWN FIREWOOD, NO COLLECTION OF FIREWOOD ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. Pindari means “From the high ground” from the aboriginal origin and was originally apart of the Nor’ West Bend Station (est. 1850) that stretched from Overland Corner to Burra. The Nor’ West Bend Station next door is now a heritage listed private residence. With Pindari Park’s scattered native trees, saltbush and mallee shrubs bringing an abundance of wildlife to the property, sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity. While you sit at the camps sites, enjoy watching the Cadell Ferry, appreciate birds and wildlife, or just enjoy the river boats on their journey up or down our mighty River Murray. You just might be able to catch one of the cruise boats or paddle steamers cruise past, make sure you give them a wave as they pass by. Pindari Park has many gravel roads and tracks to follow for taking a hike/walk, however, please note that this property is on a cliff, therefore it may not be suitable for young children and caution must be taken at all times. Each campsite has a fire pit area that can be used during May to October each year (fire ban period is November to April each year). ALL CAMPERS ARE TO BRING THEIR OWN FIREWOOD, NO COLLECTION OF FIREWOOD ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. Take a drive into to Morgan (9 kms) and visit the Old Wharf Port and the Landseers Museum or catch the Cadell Ferry and head across the river to visit the Spook Hill Winery or to use the local boat ramp. Weekend Trip to Burra Creek Camping

Directions and communication with Trish and Peter were great. No dramas finding the site (creek camp). Site was clean, level and well set up with areas that were well sheltered from wind but was still open with good views of the surrounding bush and creek beds. We had a storm come through but it hardly had any effect on our comfort (we were in a tent). Plenty of land to explore and there are massive gums that must be hundreds of years old. Will certainly book again but during a period that we can have a fire although we both agreed that it wasn’t that important in this instance! Great place to relax and unwind!

2 nights at Burra Creek Camping

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the gums and wombat holes beside the dry creek. We were serenaded by a wide variety of birdlife including Rainbow Bee-eaters and Red-backed and Sacred Kingfishers. We would’ve loved to add a wombat to the list of sightings but unfortunately that wasn’t to be this time. Maybe next time as we will definitely be back. Trish was a delight to talk to and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Magnificent site overlooking the mighty Murray high on the clifftop. Had a lovely chat with Sue our host who had lots to share with us about the farm and her experiences. The sites are large and very well spaced so you don't have anyone close. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn't have small kids as the cliff is a sheer drop.
