We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Pindari Park is a beautiful 130 acre CLIFF TOP property that offers both North and South views of the River Murray. Situated on the western bank (cliff side) overlooking the most Northerly point of the river and the township of Cadell SA. Our property does have a rocky underlay, due to the cliff, recommended that drill tent pegs are used. ALL CAMPERS ARE TO BRING THEIR OWN FIREWOOD, NO COLLECTION OF FIREWOOD ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. Pindari means “From the high ground” from the aboriginal origin and was originally apart of the Nor’ West Bend Station (est. 1850) that stretched from Overland Corner to Burra. The Nor’ West Bend Station next door is now a heritage listed private residence. With Pindari Park’s scattered native trees, saltbush and mallee shrubs bringing an abundance of wildlife to the property, sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity. While you sit at the camps sites, enjoy watching the Cadell Ferry, appreciate birds and wildlife, or just enjoy the river boats on their journey up or down our mighty River Murray. You just might be able to catch one of the cruise boats or paddle steamers cruise past, make sure you give them a wave as they pass by. Pindari Park has many gravel roads and tracks to follow for taking a hike/walk, however, please note that this property is on a cliff, therefore it may not be suitable for young children and caution must be taken at all times. Each campsite has a fire pit area that can be used during May to October each year (fire ban period is November to April each year). ALL CAMPERS ARE TO BRING THEIR OWN FIREWOOD, NO COLLECTION OF FIREWOOD ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. The Riverland is an amazing place to visit, full of so many surprises! The variety in the landscape, from harsh limestone plains to beautiful rolling sandhills, to the beauty of the Murry River. There is so much wildlife to see especially when it comes to bird watching! And the area is full of history! In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! We may be moving sheep, shearing, crutching, fencing, feeding the farm animals, milking our house goats etc. Even come for a horse ride (further info in 'Extras")! Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please discuss this with us prior to booking and they must be on a lead at all time. Sites are family friendly. Weekend Trip to Burra Creek Camping

Directions and communication with Trish and Peter were great. No dramas finding the site (creek camp). Site was clean, level and well set up with areas that were well sheltered from wind but was still open with good views of the surrounding bush and creek beds. We had a storm come through but it hardly had any effect on our comfort (we were in a tent). Plenty of land to explore and there are massive gums that must be hundreds of years old. Will certainly book again but during a period that we can have a fire although we both agreed that it wasn’t that important in this instance! Great place to relax and unwind!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the gums and wombat holes beside the dry creek. We were serenaded by a wide variety of birdlife including Rainbow Bee-eaters and Red-backed and Sacred Kingfishers. We would’ve loved to add a wombat to the list of sightings but unfortunately that wasn’t to be this time. Maybe next time as we will definitely be back. Trish was a delight to talk to and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Magnificent site overlooking the mighty Murray high on the clifftop. Had a lovely chat with Sue our host who had lots to share with us about the farm and her experiences. The sites are large and very well spaced so you don't have anyone close. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn't have small kids as the cliff is a sheer drop.

Amazing views and a great location only 5 minutes from Berri- but still a feeling of isolation. Heaps of wildlife- birds, lizards, fish and occasional visit from the very cute campsite mascot Willow (the dog!). Highly recommended and looking forward to visiting again one day.
