The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owners do not reside near the campsite. Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement. We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Dogs are welcome lots of room for them to run around, we also have paddle boards for hire. The town of milang has its own mini mart and cafe and on weekends the train museum is open for viewing. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. Weekend Trip to Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)
We had amazing experiences here on Sam and Chris' Noorla Farm : ) This was my first ever camp with my 2 boys and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Sam and Chris gave us the right advice and support to get us going as well as a lovely gift of eggs, homemade biscuits and sweets. We stayed at the Laneway and it was beautiful scenery and there was ever present nature including many species of bird calls that we awoke to in the morning, as well as the possums we spotted over night. There was also a kookaburra only a few meters from the tent, waiting in the morning. Sam and Chris very kindly helped us to pack up our new tent that we were struggling with. Quite unbelievable and unexpected. We were so lucky. And to totally cap it off we were treated to meeting all their animals, and my teenage boys got to gain many new experiences from patting camels to holding guinea pigs and collecting eggs. Chris had a great sense of humour when showing us around and was really present and giving of his time. Thank you so much Sam and Chris. We look forward to coming back again!

Cute little getaway not far from Adelaide had a Ecco toilet and shower if you need 10 sites to choose from games to play wooden go carts swings fire pits at each site undercover communal are with 2 large bbq’s couch and table and chairs scattered around it’s has plenty of nature to see ducks on the dam bunnies and kangaroos hopping around cute little blue birds galas and white cockatoos true nature fix so close to home but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere I highly recommend

We had an amazing time at Noorla Farm. Sam was incredibly kind to let us know that our original spot might be unsafe after the heavy rain, so we opted for the Laneway spot instead. We loved being so close to the farm animals, especially the horses. Sam and his wife even showed us around and let us feed them, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. We can definitely feel the love and care they have for their babies. Thank you for the wonderful memories, we’ll definitely be back

We had a wonderful time staying at Sam and Chris’s farm. We loved the Laneway. Fantastic shade with the lovely creek. It overlooked the cows. Sam and Chris introduced us to all their animals. We met the camels, cows, Guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and more. They were lovely to chat with and we will be back. We really appreciated the welcome basket and the voucher took us to the nearby winery of K1 wines. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. This was a big family gathering for us and we made fantastic memories from it thanks to their hospitality.

We are currently offering space for two self-contained campers. Please note that ALL CAMPERS MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED and LEAVE NO TRACE. There is public dump facility 5km away in South Goolwa. Grounds can be wet and soft during wet weather so please be mindful of your vehicle’s weight and ability to go through wet paddocks. Our property is approximately 4km from beautiful Goolwa township. Attractions include the Historic Steam Ranger Cockle Train which runs from Goolwa to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor each Sunday & Wednesday, and every day during school holidays. There are also a range of cafes, restaurants, galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer. Markets are held every Sunday at Jaralde Park adjacent to the Goolwa Wharf. Welcome to your dream destination!! We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each. FIRST LOCATION: EMU BAY HIDEAWAY-30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay. Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote. Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property. There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather. There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water. SECOND LOCATION: Farm Stay about 15 km from Emu Bay and 20km from the main town of Kingscote. This is an operating small sheep farm of over 100ha. For security reasons the exact location is not advertised, but will be disclosed upon arrival on Kangaroo Island. There are several beautiful sites. This location is fairly central to most KI visitor attractions. It is a secure place to set up camp and have peace of mind that your belongings will be safe while you are away from the site. The host takes care to situate sites to give campers the feeling of exclusiveness. NOTES; Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council). Lola is particularly fond of children and loves to play fetch with them, whilst Sherlock will try charm you out of your sausages. Despite what he says, he is well fed at home. They are both good at giving high fives. If you would prefer not to see the dogs, please just let us know and we will keep them under strict supervision.
