Moorak, South Australia. Our property is located 5km south of Mt Gambier with distant views of the extinct volcano including the Blue Lake and crater Lakes precinct. No facilities. Due to council regulations we can only accept self-contained campervans and caravans with internal toilet/ensuite.
Traditional, ancestral territory of the Boandik First Nations people. We are situated on a quiet country road. This camp site is a fenced two-acre paddock surrounded on the east, south and west sides with revegetation of local native trees, shrubs and grasses.
This area is a fabulous star gazing location with a clear and un-obstructed horizon. The historical Centenary Tower and Crater Lakes can be seen from the campsite.
Campfires and firewood available. Firewood available on request ($10/bag at 10kg includes kindling). Pets welcome but we request they're on lead for safety of your pet.
Bryton Wood campsite is only 7min drive to the heart of Mt Gambier, 20min to the coast and beaches, and 30min to the Glenelg River in western Victoria.

Our property is located in Canuda, the terrain is hilly with several clear, flat spots good for camping. The entire 33 acres is available for you to explore on a nature walk.
Any clear area within the boundary is available to camp in but a site needs to be booked and I will suggest an appropriate location.
Being a declared scrub block it is undisturbed and snakes are present but if you leave them alone they will mind their own business.
Small fires are permitted, only where a fire ring exists and out of fire ban season. Check listing details for more information. Gas fires and BBQ are not permitted during total fireban. More appropriate instructions are provided the day prior to booking in.
The Canunda National Park is only a 4km drive from the property and has plenty of stunning beaches and beautiful walks you can enjoy. It is also a popular fishing spot and has some great 4WD tracks to explore.

We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. Access to campsites is Via Brown Road, not Caroline Road. Please see directions once booking is made.
We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums.
Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat!
We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach.
One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents.
Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

The main house on property is listed as a popular holiday accommodation house, sleeping 6 guests. We also have a glamping tent on property for seperate hire to the house.
Our Camp site area for fully self sufficient campers is available in the paddoch area away from the main house block. We aim to ensure the privavy of the house guests by not entering the house block.
Campers have access to a rain water tank for drinking water however no hook ups.

I have camped in quite a few paddocks on this trip, and this is a beauty! There are about 8 large site separated by hay bales and marked by colours. On one side are a stand of trees that give you a bit of a wind break or shade, and the other side is open but perfectly fine. The tree lined sites colours are blue, green, purple and white.
I tell you this because I like to have trees near me, even just for atmosphere, let alone shade or shelter. So, thought some of you might, too! The owner was very accommodating, and also invited all campers up to feed the young goats. The paddock was well maintained and a great, affordable stop over for a self contained vehicle. Highly recommend.

Where to go
Canunda National Park
Carpenter Rocks is the southern gateway to Canunda National Park, where golden sandy beaches, rocky coves, and swaths of coastal bushlands make up the wild landscapes. Take your pick from six campgrounds, some affording magnificent ocean views, then take to the coast to hike, swim, surf, and snorkel.
Southern Ocean Drive
The region’s most rewarding road trip runs all the way from nearby Mount Gambier, past Carpenter Rocks, and north along the Limestone Coast. Check into one of the beachside campgrounds at Beachport Conservation Park, camp by the lakes around Robe, or continue north all the way to the beaches and wetlands of Coorong National Park.
Coonawarra wine country
An hour’s drive inland from Carpenter Rocks and the scenery changes from sandy shores to vine-clad hills. Coonawarra sits at the heart of the Limestone Coast wine country, where you can hike or cycle between cellar-door wineries, camp with a view of the vineyards, or go glamping in a luxury bell tent.
When to go
Summer (December through February) is the best time to enjoy the Limestone Coast beaches, and the coastal roads and resorts fill up quickly over the summer holidays. Alternatively, winter is the prime season for bird-watching along the coast, and the coastal wetlands are even more impressive thanks to the seasonal rainfall.
